I've been playing a new KDF toon and one thing that always bothered me about playing a klingon was the lack of hairstyles. I understood for cost reasons why it wasn't added before, but after the content that was added with LoR and the mission with Worf, wouldn't have been fairly easy to take the hairstyles designed for for Word and his son and convert it for PCs?
The issues with KDF hairstyles is just weird to me. Especially considering certain hairstyles with the KDF.
I'm not complaining, I know there's all sorts of stuff that's way more important than my obsession with cosmetics, but it just seems to me that just with a little bit of effort and time the new hairstyles could have been implemented into the char creator. The hair issue with Klingons is just kind of weird to me, because I think there's just as complicated hairstyles in the alien and women cc.
Unfortunately, they have had tons and tons of time to consider and make even a few more options for the KDF at this point, but they haven't. I really wish they would. I'm not a massive fan of saying 'oh, I want to make my character look like this', never been my thing, but SOME new thing would be nice.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
the federation needs more hairstyles too. the whole hairstyle section is dated. It would be good if the romulan gothic and wavy or that long one i dont know the damn name, but those two are fairly universal in style, they should be available to everyone. I mean my own hair is close to one of those, and I'm no romulan in reality. Mostly it's all dudes at Cryptic, they don't understand fashion or hair or some other designs in the game. And I'm at a university! <-- last part is a joke no one will get.
KDF has NO, canon hairstyles, not just the Klingons, both canon Orion females and Nausicaans have a similar 'mane' as Klingons, plus Worfs 3 styles, the TOS Klingons with short hair, and afro in TAS.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I looked through every entry Here, Here, and Here. I cannot find a SINGLE example of any of the ingame hairstyles that look anything like the canon ones (except bald ). Not ONE.
This excludes Worf's Series 1 hair and the generic 'long' style that I think matches one of the Orions.

hmm, something quick an relatively simple to add the the game, that would make a big difference for all KDF players....sounds very logical and reasonable.
Which means that Cryptic will NEVER do it....unless its in a lock box

I just had a look at the various KDF NPC's and except for Worf (more or less) there still isn't any canon hair on any of the KDF races.

There is ONE new KDF hair style... Braided dreads...
Ummmm.. COULD WE GET A LITTLE MORE ATTENTION to the KDF please...
Honestly Dev guys.. a snail moving up a greased 90 degree slope moves faster.
Ok, and Klingon female characters did not get the hair style... males only.
Klingon men and women have been seen to wear pony tails, Klingon women have been seen to have thier hair coifed and piled, twisted into buns, and pinned in place with very ornate hair combs and pins. I recall what I believe was a fat Klingon Science officer in DS-9 with BLOND hair that was all ringletted out.. (he played with his hair in the 'sode a lot. I do think he may have some what vain about his hair and display of tonsorial magnificence)
Really folks.. a lot of what the KDF has is pretty boring. Hair styles, facial features, their bony crests.. the uniforms... Klingons may not have some of the most "color full" of garments (though go take a look at Dax's wedding dress in DS-9) they apparently have a fine appreciation of texture, and are big fans of woven garments and simple elegant cuts.. Worf cut a very fine figure in a Tuxedo if you recall.
Klingon uniforms should also have a great many more accessories. Many many many more.
It's been noted that the Bortasqu uniform seem to not have it sash and shoulder pauldrons available for players. There should be equipment pouches, and belts, holsters, daggers and knives, various and assorted sheaths, and there are a number of missing Klingon edged weapons not represented in the game.
We have an emote where a player can raise their Dk'tang (the Klingon honor dagger) that for some wierd reason is also availible to federation players, along with the Blood wine emote, yet we do not have a Dk'tang we can aquip or use, not even as a visual decoration.
And thats JUST Klingons... What about orions? Orion women are limited to Klingon battle gear or purely decorative skimply slave girl out fits... that aren't accurate in any way shape of form to what was seen in any of Star Trek. Not the Original Series, Not TNG, Not DS-9 not Enterprise, definitely not Voyager.
