    1) No matchmaking system to balance teams.

    2) Agreed on stacking force multipliers.

    3) No decent crowd control immunity period after getting spammed.

    4) Very few stats have diminishing returns, which is becoming more and more of a problem with things like tac consoles that increase critical chance/severity.

    5) It's a Star Trek game, and torpedoes are nigh useless except for some niche builds. (more of an annoyance but still)

Hard to blame new players for not wanting to get into pvp in this game, it's kind of a mess.

    Way everything stacks
    Paid for ships and consoles
    The player base
    Paid for doffs/limited doffs
No separation between PvE and PvP

All of those affect both PvE and PvP to different extents and it's in no particular order. Needless to say I think the lack of separation is the most damaging and broken as NPCs are designed to die, trying to then adjust mechanics for players who are not designed to die is setting yourself up for a fall.

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.
A master with a stone is better than a novice with a sword.

Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.

The top five most "broken" things in PvP.
    Here are mine :

    • Stacks (multiple powers)
    • Overcapps (Beams weapon power)
    • Queueing (Pugs Vs OP Premade)
    • Engine (invisible fogs, UI response time)
    • No interesting rewards

I almost added "Uber de-cloak alpha-strikers", but this is a style of gameplay like any other, with its strengths and weaknesses. Powerfull but legitimate for me.

THere is one everyone forgets, the UI that gets laggy when there is spam on the screen the more spam the more laggy the power trays get. There is no reason why if I click CRF that I have click it 3 or more time for the power to fire off. Thee are fleets out there that exploit this part of the game they will fill your screen with every bit of UI lagging goodness, GW/TR/Theta/Warp Plasma, mines, fighters, fleet support, etc. Some of which you will never see because the system cannot draw them fast enough.

    placate procs

    proton barrage alpha

    faw

romulan faction boffs (buff fed and kdf boffs)

    umm... tif?

honorable mention to AMS, yellowstones, elite intercepters, doffed GW, bug ship in any 1 vs 1 dog fight like situation, and holds + that black death console

No. You don't buff anything. Romulan bridge officers make up for the lack of tanking ability and turn rate on all romulan ships. If anything, you Nerf the boffs a little. Buffing everything else to fit only adds to the problems we have regarding overly high dps and area affect abilities.

I agree with all previous posters about the most broken, wrong and ludicrous things in PVP (and STO in general). I'd like to add a few more:

Ships operating at maximum of their capabilities even at 1% hull.
    Unlimited supply of hangar pets.
    Unlimited supply of torpedoes.
    Space spamming in general.
Speed of things in game in general. (Outrunning torpedoes is perhaps ok but ships flying faster than cannon bolts/particles?!)

I know it's a game and one can't expect things to be realistic here, however if some (or all, he he) things get corrected, I expect STO to become more enjoyable for more players. It does not have to become a simulation or a turn based game, it just needs balance. Balance in all things. You can hear these wise words spoken throughout the (Multi)Universe/Planes, from Dak'kon, the Githzerai to Deferi.

Alright 99.5% of the player base.

Joke #1: Placate Passive - in a 1v1 situation it is a 20% damage reduction and that's if you magically manage to re-target your opponent and have him in your arc when he's done playing peek-a-boo. It's alternative is 1800 shields to each facing. In a 2 second period 1 buffed DHC can do that.

Joke #2: Leech - the equivalent of ~27 regular Mk XII engineering power consoles with a drain bonus to boot. 'Must' or 'really should' haves are bad in a dynamic gaming environment.

Joke #3: Force Multipliers - b/c yeah, 10 spatial anomalies or 5 inversion fields within 10km of eachother is totally probable.

Joke #4: Valdore Console - b/c 1 console should really put up bigger numbers than a dedicated healer.

Joke #5: The guy making teams in the que. - When there is more than 1 team in the ques waiting for a pop he finds it funny to pin each of them against pugs instead of eachother. I think he is colorblind too; he likes to put 5 blue (sci) vs 5 red (tac). He should have been executed next to the Klingon transporter officer.

Things that are broken to me?

1: Damage is more important then healing.
2: There's no balance between ships. No Scissors beats Paper that beats Rock. Its smash everything with a Rock.
3: Too much lets just add more TRIBBLE on top of TRIBBLE and less quality.
4: Not enough Variaty of Maps.
5: A queue that originally worked well enough, but now your lucky if you even know how many players are queued. Too much illusion and not enough fact or reality in the way the game's Queue system is presented, ESPECIALLY for PVP.
You think that your beta test was bad?

Yes dmage is king but there are two classes dedicated to stopping/mitigating damage. With no damage how does a match end?

I would say there is too much balance among the variety of ships. There are not really any more glass cannons. Escorts have become too survivable on their own, the power creep has not only improved damage it has also made healing easier and less focused, some would say with the passives an escort can be an OK healer since it has at least two heals that can be casted on someone one.

Yes the TRIBBLE has led to an uncontrolled power creep.

Yes more maps, Dyson would make a nice PvP map, throw out the GPU melting solarwind there is only 2 Arena maps.

The queues yes sat in cnh ques for 15 minutes with 15 people queued and no pop.

Got PM from a KASE probe saying that I need to be nerfed and he was coming to the forums to state that. He was miffed at the 56K crit I scored on him on a non cloaked alpha.

Just bullet pointing these in roughly the order I see 'em as the biggest turn offs to PvP. Mostly aimed at space, though a lot of it will probably be applicable to ground combat.

    1. Massive gear/cost [both in terms of cash and time] barriers to newly minted lvl 50 Captains wanting to get into PvP. (Fleet Ships, Uni Consoles*, muti-function consoles[!], DOffs[!!], Rep[!!!])

    2. Queueing system. (Team balancing, lone wolfs vs organized groups, variety in match and game types)

    3. Reliance on tribal knowledge over solid in-game documentation and fully-featured test environment. (Much of the powers, skills, and abilities often behave in extremely non-intuitive ways, particularly when equipped with DOffs, with little access to testing or documentation available in-game)

I'd say those are the 3 biggest elephants in the room, far more so than flavor of the month powers that are not functioning properly or the odd super ship. That said....

    4. Planned obsolescence of ships. (Cryptic may contend that newer, better ships coming out doesn't reduce the capability of older ships [most of which have fleet variants], which is true in a literal sense until you put those older, less optimized/optimizable variants up against comparable newer ships, further exacerbating the necessity of paying[money or time, it's always a cost] to stay on an even keel with other players)

    5. Problematic powers and consoles. (Cryptic's design here is that nothing be left worthless in the face of PvE or PvP. Fairly sensible, as it takes massive amounts of resources to fork development into two different lines, especially this long post-launch, however, the fact that PvE and PvP work in completely different ways is causing, and will continue to cause, serious issues with balance to crop up in both realms of play.)
If you feel Keel'el's effect is well designed, please, for your own safety, be very careful around shallow pools of water.

    1) Teamwork...its op plz nurf
    2) Janus...hes op plz nurf
    3) Mini...hes op plz nurf
    4) Impulse Capatinance Cell...keep it on that escort so hunting cloakers is easier (dont worry cloakers i have one and rebuilt my ship so be warned)
5)Invisible warp poo...the skill is fine, i just hate that i fly in it without knowing.

Honorable mentions... Rom T4 placate, singularity jump making you lose target. Photon/quantum torps...its a star trek game, i want my torps.

While were talking about things we want changed...i want the way shield and hull resist stack to be changed to straight % stacking...not this dumb formula they use, and the 75% cap on resists removed....Please i really really want my 100%+ shield and hull resist.

    -TaylorSwift / LindseyLohan
-TaylorSwift - PvPs most hated sci
-LindseyLohan - Under appreciated Rom Bug
-EmiliaClarke - Under construction engi recluse

    5. Universal consoles with special powers (Shield absorbtive frequency generator especially)

Joke #175 - Hax Panda in Kerrat is OP, especially all the QQ : "Decloak, stand still and let me shoot you! :D " That is until someone ate a Tricobalt in the face and subsequently got trapped in web mines despite teaming up with all the evul HOBO in Kerrat. :)
