"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
I like the idea, but using art from another game is a good way to get your idea in a scrap heap.
Try coming up with some concept art of your own as a starting point, so if the devs were to look at it, at least they wouldn't have to pay another game royalties for using their design.
2) It's uglier than the Jupiter and the Typhoon combined.
You take that back sir .
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Aeon pet. Maybe a Choniton DHC. Based on the Wells/Mobius (ie. no nacelles aside from the kind that go up and down) but basically a bigger, more boat like take on the Wells but with a few very subtle nods to the J.
Just did some quick counting and at the rate they go through Enterprises, they should be up to the Enterprise-T by the 29th century when it's all timeships.
Would be fun to see the 29th century Enterprise.
I think if we're in that RSTUVW phase of Enterprise letters, it would be fun for them to be Greek letters.
Why?
1701-Lowercase Sigma would represent both, in theory, the Enterprise-S. But as a geeky math joke, it might also indicate that it's within a standard deviation of the Enterprise. This goes with the theme of a ship called the RELATIVITY and also an era when they run around integrating people and things due to time paradoxes. It's a world where things can be mostly true but not 100% true. By that point, they're dealing with probability so much that a person could be 95% guilty of a crime because they did it in 95% of timelines and 5% innocent because they didn't do it in the other 5%. So there's the joke. It's within a standard deviation of being the Enterprise. It's more or less not another ship. Even better of it's Enterprise +/- Lowercase Sigma. CONFUSION! Yay!
1701-Tau would be funny because the TAU was a rocket designed to test general relativity.
1701-Upsilon would be funny because Pythagoras used upsilon (which looks like the letter Y) to represent alternate paths, a fork in the road.
Phi is used to represent characteristic probability distributions. So... 1701-Phi would be the Enterprise minus all characteristic plausibility. Or maybe ship registries start getting algebraic by the point and you have a ship that's the NCC-Phi Function of 1701, or the characteristic probability function of Enterprises.
Chi represents the intersection between soul and mind in Plato's worldview. I think you'd be going too far with the symbolism of an Enterprise-Chi (at that point, symbolically, the Federation would become like Q if you decide to adopt Greek symbolism, transcending the physical universe, time, and space for questions outside of all that)
But these all work for me as late era Enerprise designations so I dig the idea of switching to Greek letters in that RSTUV phase of the alphabet. And it would be perfectly in the spirit of Relativity's mindbending components to have a ship registry that doubles as a mathematical function or equation. It would crack me up to have a character say something like,
"I'm so and so, captain of what is probably the Timeship Enterprise."
"Probably?"
"Nothing about the timeline is certain. But, yes, probably."
If a Temporal Cruiser is ever added to the game, then it will be just as rare and costly as the Bulwark and JHAS and obtained through the same method. So about 300 to 500 million EC and only available a couple of times each year.
Never! Though I do admit the designs have potential, in their current form they're just hideous. I hope they get polished soon so they don't look so rushed and unfinished.

I always thought it looked like a dodgey sovereign class, with a purple tube on its back.
I believe the official information that was provided (as limited as it was) indicated that the USS Premonition was a Sovereign Class that had been emergency refit with temporal gear.
Personally I always thought that the Imperial Class was suppose to be a nod towards the Premonition, which I liked, and designed to look as close to her as possible ^ ^
"Why all the sales"?
And a merry freaking Christmas to you too, Ebenezer.

Issues with this are that
1: startrek already has a temp cruiser it was called the universe class i.e. enterprise-j(31cnt) and it was bigger then a damn moon
2: I don't think it will happen for a while due to them already having done a temp lockbox
3: the ship you put up is a black re skinned sov class so just no
But I like where your head is at
-"There is no such thing as an I win button!""Um, Sir. Whats this button that says (I win) for then?"

unless there was a mention in that episode that the Ent-J could travel through time, then No, it is not a temporal Vessel. that would be like calling the Gal-X a temporal Dreadnought becasue it was designed in an alternate future and was pressed into service in the prime time.
Edit: also, the Ent-J is 2 miles long.... hardly bigger than a moon.

There was never any mention of the J being any kind of temporal ship.
I always kinda like the Premonition but I do agree it's kinda like a compacted Sovereign with purplish mission pod on the back.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power

Slightly off topic, but if you can, pic please
I'm curious
In regards to this thread, virtually everything about the ship stays the same, except I'm drawing up my own design for the ship art (waste of time cuz I don't work at cryptic? Maybe, but I get bored easily. There is always the tiniest chance they take it.) that I will try to post in the OP later on. I've also come up with a few other little things I'll add in the original stat suggestion.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Uncharted? So...we go back in time, and team up with Nathan Drake to stop the Iconians?
1) It's from another game, so the chances of it happening are basically zero.
2) It's uglier than the Jupiter and the Typhoon combined.

The re-modeled version does look much better than the original from ST:Armada.
It doesn't "look" Temporal to me in any way.

That does look better, but I still hate that purple tube on the top. And I agree that it doesn't look temporal at all.

The concept is sound I suppose but that ship looks like the love child of Hilary Clinton and Elton John.
Keltoi Class... fan design. You KNOW you want one In-game!
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
All seriousness though, I think it might be what I needed to finish the ship sketch
It's not a necro until its archived... But yes, yes it was.
I never miss an opportunity to craft a blithering insult to some-one/thing.
