MACO Elite Commander bugged...still

For those who were in the process (myself included) of completing the MACO Elite Commander accolade (including completion of all accolades and having collected the required gear) when the Omega Reputation system was first released, you are probably award that you cannot unlock the accolade, or the associated costume unlock. I am unwilling to delete the toon and start over with all the gear, ships, and costumes that have been obtained. Here is the process that I and multiple others have gone through while seeking help from Cryptic/PWE support:

Re-completion of ALL MACO Elite Commander accolade requirements.
Submission of a support ticket highlighting the issue, details of pre-reputation and post reputation status concerning completion of STFs, associated accolades, and when gear was obtained.
At the suggestion of PWE's support team, obtained an additional MACO mk XII Ground set
Sold MACO mk XII ground set to vendor and immediately bought it back.
Followed up with support and was told that the Dev team was aware of the issue and was working on the issue. I have not seen one hint that the dev team has done anything about this issue, or even publicly addressed it.

I understand that a costume unlock and an accolade is not the highest priority for this game, but this issue has been present for over a year now. Will Cryptic ever get around to it?

    Here is the initial dev response to this issue on April 11.

    Separate to the issue above is the apparent miscommunication on how the Costume options for these sets are actually handled. Let me take a moment to explain how those work.

    All STF Armor of Mk XI or higher has visuals associated with it. However, these visuals are just a simple overlay, the same as the "plastic pajamas" associated with armor throughout the rest of the game. They can be turned on/off from your equipment panel, and cannot be altered using the Tailor.

    Upon receiving all 3 pieces of a single Mk XI (or higher) set of Omega gear, you should see a Costume Unlock Project appear in your list of Reputation projects. This project will not appear if you claim a mixed set (e.g., 2 pieces of KHG Mk XI and 1 of KHG Mk XII, or 2 pieces of MACO Mk XII and 1 of Adapted MACO Mk XII).

    It is only after running and claiming this project that you are able to modify your Omega gear using the Tailor.

    I heard that selling your MACO items and buying them back would give the accolade, but that only deals with the M.A.C.O. Commando portion of the M.A.C.O. Elite Commander accolade for getting all the Mk XII items and not the M.A.C.O. Team Commander portion of the Elite Commander accolade for getting all the elite optionals. I suggest you try it on tribble to see if it works. Cause a D/C could cause immense problems for a solution that might not even work.

    I have 3 sets of MACO gear, one from the old system and two from the reputation system, I have attempted the selling and buy back with all 3 sets, but it did not fix the problem. Its nice to know that they have formally addressed the issue and are still working to fix it.

    Still no fix or solution. I think Cryptic won't work to fix this annoying bug

    I too am still affected by this bug and nothing i tried including re-completing all of the requirements fixed it. Though it has been a long time since I even bothered, just part of the game at this point.

    Meh, the issue is still current and the Omega/STF Accolade thread only has 26k views. Maybe this issue needs more exposure?
