Boff spatula

fathom3fathom3 Member Posts: 15 Arc User
Dear Cryptic,
Can you possibly code in a new product for us? - A boff spatula?

.............so we can at least use it to pry boffs off of the inventory slot they are stuck in and maybe actually move them?

I just don't get it, so somebody help me with this one. Why can't I move any Boffs in my inventory?

What exactly are all these boffs for, anyway? You can't sell them on the exchange for anything that's even remotely worth my time to post......even though some are worth 1200 dilithium, or so it says...............even though I can't sell them..............for dilithium.........to anybody.............The best I can hope for is a few EC's. I suppose they are either intended as a practice system for learning how to dismiss/dump lock boxes from my inventory or they are intended to plug up my mail system...............me and thousands of other players who horde them waiting for a change.

I'm sorry if I missed an explanation in earlier posts, but I've been looking for 4 years now.
Seriously, what am I missing here?

If you have Boffs in your inventory then your Candidate roster is full. Get rid of Boffs from there and you can move them out of inventory space.

Im not sure how many spaces are available on the Candidate roster though.

if you have no use for them, why do you keep doing the missions to get more? Just stop doing the missions, dismiss all the junkers keeping only those with rare racial skills (space!) or harder to find trainable skills (overload 3!). Problem will solve itself if you stop doing the evaluation missions.

    12 spaces.

OP: 4 years worth of BOffs? Wow...

And putting them on the exchange, even for a couple hundred ECs isn't worth the time? It's better than a kick jn the pants...

The point I was trying to make is that we need more versatility on what we can do with them.

Give us a better outlet to dispose of unwanted doffs.

You can move boffs from your inventory into your boff roster by mailing them to yourself.

Yes, it's dumb, but it works.

You did ask about that, correct? How to move misplaced boffs from your inventory to the roster?

Because they're usually worth Recruitment CXP that people eventually turn in for marks.

And occasionally, a really good one drops into people's rosters that way, to sell or to keep.

And because they're great fodder for BOFF skill retraining.

At least those are the reasons they're clogging up my inventory :)

I'm kind of assuming that at some point, the limited number of races with cool space traits will be revisited to give some of the lacking ones better space traits to work with. Since it's unlikely (though possible) they'll nerf the Romulans...

At least that's what I tell myself when I'm too lazy to boot stray Bolians and Gorn off the bench seats.

You can always mail them to yourself and leave them in your inbox.

Yeah, this. Or just toss them.... If you're really never gonna use them.... most only go for a few k on exchange.

Yeah, BOFFs in your INVENTORY was a short-lived bug from about 2 years ago. As someone already said, just mail them to yourself - they'll drop into the BOFF roster like they're supposed to.

Overflow from the candidate roster still goes directly to inventory.

Actually... if you have an empty roster slot you can right click one and there's a move to roster button.

Doff missions for Boff recruitment STILL dump them to inventory.

Sorry. No way. Too much like new content! Lol!!!

OK, I know all the tricks, and I just like most have a ton of Boffs sitting in the mailbox.

My point here is this: 95% of them are USELESS for selling on the exchange. (not being able to move them on my inventory is just the icing on the firggin' cake) Instead of just tossing them out or mailing them to ourselves, how about a way to sell them or trade them in at the academy or something for EC or Dilithium. Hey, even if I got 100 dilithium or 10,000 EC or even latinum, I would be happy.

What's wrong with starbase projects demanding them?

They require white quality Boffs, and refuse green or above. And white boffs are something you rarely IF EVER get for free. So to get them you have to buy them on the exchange (they typically cost 10x the amount of a blue or purple), or buy them from the Boff store for dilithium.

What we need is a fix to the broken Exchange so we can search by traits and skills.
