One Shot by a Buffed Sonic or Tachyon Pulse

So, I'm on Otha doing ground PVP, and I get one shot by.... either a Sonic Pulse or a Tachyon Pulse on the ground.

I had a full Mk12 Dyson Set and was crouched behind my personal shield.
Anyway, this Sci took me out with one shot from one of his kit abilities.
Anyone, know or have an idea how he did this?

I have 7 points in armor and 9 in shields.

Is this the new one shot that is out now, anyone know what is up?
Just curious what it was.

    As a medic officer I don't really know how this can be done but don't get me wrong, it is possible as i seen it done and had it done to me sometimes

    You maybe got instavaped by an exploit shot of a pistol and the guy was using the resistance debuff biochemist.

    Wait for the fix this Thursday.

    Anyways you can always check your damage log in the Combat window in your chat, you will have a better a idea of what killed you next time.

    I was being legit. He could have messaged me instead of doing it publicly. I wanted to know who was down on otha owning noobs.

    I have been away for a bit so not sure about the gameplay atm. But I assume it was a pyro who owned him. Still, not sure so I didn't bother answering.

    If I had to take a guess, I'd say the player probably activated Tricorder Scan + Nanite Infestation, hit you with Tachyon Harmonics, and followed up with a flanked pulsewave shot. That would kill most targets, especially on a Critical hit, providing the player didn't use buffs/heals to counter.

    I was hit with a science ability and nothing else.
    I did not get shot with a weapon at all.
    The Science player looked like he hit one ability and that was it.
    Standing directly in front of me. And hit me with a Sonic Pulse it appeared.
    Went right through my personal shield while I was crouched and one shotted me.

    Well Sonic Pulse won't oneshot anything by itself. You need multiple debuffs on your character before it will even come close to causing that level of damage. Even then, you'd need a very high critical hit. No, I suspect there was more than one science ability in play.
