If the space specc should reject the ground or vice-versa? I say to you space and ground are of the same skill page and you must find a healthy balance.

If that'a 1 Cor 12, it's a pretty rough parraphrase.

EDIT: Googling the 1st line, I found it is from "Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible" but is talking about 1 Cor 12.

Mine, was, BTW, from 1 Cor 13:1, substituted "sense" for "love". Oh, and "aliens" for "angels".

I, for one, enjoyed the allegory...

One could also take the intent of the message in a metaphysical way (if so inclined) to mean simply that all the parts of a captain's makeup comprise a whole; to favor one area more than another is to be unbalanced and incomplete in one's gameplay & results. It's really a labor of love to research, build & fully express the full potential of a starship captain!

So your edit was almost right, you missed the :15 at the end, for the verse number :P

Addendum : No answer from OP as to why he decided to plagiarise the Bible !?!?
Must admit, first time I've seen a non religion based site with Bible text... it's a bit creepy !

Oh, don't get me wrong, I get it, and think you are spot on, too.

Someone recently suggested we be able to buy another set of specs, so they could change their skill set based on what they were doing: PvP, PvE, space, ground...

The whole idea was foolish, IMO, much like wanting to be able to turn your toon's legs into arms so you can hold more guns, or arms into legs so you can move faster.

Biblical reference aside, you have two choices.

Either you can min/max and get the highest numbers... or you can just do enough damage to be satisfied.

I chose to ignore the :15 since v15 is significantly shorter than the OP's original quote, and was actually trying to give you a free pass on this obvious error rather than accuse you of not knowing what you were talking about.

* No, I don't really believe you don't read. Just making a point that trying to judge a person's experience about something is hard to base on reading what is either a typo or an omission. I must admit, though, that since you decided to use b rather than B in two different posts...

Here's a test for ya, but it also speaks to seeing Bible passages in non-religious forums: I Geocache. In the Geocaching forums, my sig line is Matt 13:44a. What does the "a" mean, and what is my sig line?

the "a" part indicates the first part of the verse, which finishes with: "When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field."

I may have actually cheated the "a' part a little in my sig line and kept the "When a man found it, he hid it again..." since that is, at it's core, what Geocaching is.

Speaking of that, I know a lot of cachers who love looking for caches, but don't like hiding them. It is the eact same thing as the OP is talking about: use your skills to do what you do best. Let me tell you, one couple who refused to hide caches finally got pressured into hiding some; Horrible caches. Ugh. They should stick with finding them.

Choosing to ignore something does not support your argument, and you make it harder for anyone to verify what you are saying when you are talking about bible text - due to having to read the whole chapter (like anyone would actually do it on here, but the point stands), where if you put the verse, they can go directly to the EXACT thing being talked about and see if you are quoting or making it up.

So by referencing it WRONG, you are misleading other readers or just causing others to waste time so not to be found out.

And no one asked you to type out the OPs original quote - I just mentioned, as YOU decided to try and correct me first - that your "correction" was not correct, as you missed the verse number out, thus misleading people to where the OP was quoting from.
