Data, he's an Android that can go one on one with a Borg Drone. Vulcans have been assimilated. That, and, as you've said, Spock would eventually tire. Data would not.
I'd find a contest of logic between the two to be infinitely more interesting. There's no reason to reduce two of the most intelligent characters in Star Trek to a meaningless contest of brute strength, after all.
Spock did not "break" the blade, he knocked the blade off of the wooden staff of the lirpa. Cutting the gong was an effect of force and the sharpness of the Lirpa blade.... on the flip side of this we've seen Data bend gun barrels and lift anvils off the ground like they were an empty show box and toss man-sized boulders over his shoulders like used tissue paper.
in therms of mind power data would loose before his emotional chip has been implanted.
data with emotional chip would be on par with spock, so a draw. both would be as well as logical as emotional.
He's bulletproof,
He doesn't need sleep (or rest),
He has crazy reflexes,
He has an answer for everything, and he's always right (unless the episode is somehow focused on Wesley Crusher),
And he's a Terminator--er, a learning computer.
No amount of logic can win against a physically superior foe. Neither are phaser proof, though I'd wager Data can take much more than Spock -- I'd like to see how that goes. Maybe the next feature can have them both in a Mexican standoff of sorts?
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
