Buyer Beware

I have seen in many places people saying that the only difference between the andorian phasers and the "normal" phasers is their color. That is wrong. The andorian phasers have a different sound effect that is very punctual.

I thought it would be cool to have an andorain phaser beam boat (blue is my fav. color) so I paid to get an escort so I could buy the beams from the fleet store. Using more than one makes them go TAP TAP TAP TAP like someone is beating a snare drum. So if you like playing with your sound on think again before buying these, the only difference is not just the color.

    They actually added that on purpose after release. Originally, they advertised andorian phasers to be more powerful than normal phasers.

    That lasted, what, a week?

    Anyway, post nerf, they added a unique sound effect to make them still somewhat enticing to... somebody?

    yeah it's not great, just wanted to let some others know before spending dilithium/fleet credits/zen

    I've noticed that the andorian phasers will continue to make noise even after they have stopped firing, especially with Beam Fire at Will....which makes it even worse

    But some of us LIKE the snare-drum thumping. It still has nothing on the cacophony of EEE! EEE! EEE! that blue retros can give you for your blue lazor needs, though.

    I can agree! But... a lot of the videos online appear to be pre-nerf when the sound was the same as the orange phasers.
