Doff experience.

Sorry if this has been suggested already before...

I have lots of doffs on lots of characters and tend to fill up 5x20 tasks multiple times per week.

I have some green doffs who have easily finished 100+ missions each..it seems with that much experience they should not really be "green" anymore.

I know that the game already stores some per-doff data, such as the flag that indicates if the doff is locked/untradeable, etc. How about adding a counter for successful missions at current level (white, green, blue). After a set number of successful missions (40, 60, 100?) that doff can be "promoted" to the next level...with any ground or spaced based skills of that doff getting the appropriate bump to what is standard for that doff at the new level.

For people who dont want to shell out 5-20M EC in the exchange for a very rare doff of the type they want, they now have the option to level up a similar type doff over a couple of months from a lower level doff of the same type.

And to keep those very rare doffs from becoming commonplace/devalued as more upgrade you could either make leveled up doffs untradable....OR.... you could add a new orange ultra-rare doff only available via doff progression (i.e. purple doff with 100+ missions), with an appropriate bump up in skills that would make this type of activity desireable as everyoen with a nice set of very rare space doffs would like to have a similar set of ultra rare space doffs with an appropriate increase in ability, even if it means they wont be available in space for a while since will be on assignments.

    I would be in favor of this. Plus it would give Cryptic more grind content which they love. :P

    The ability to promote DOffs would be nice. I expect they would be bound upon the promotion. It would definitely help fill some of the Very Rare gaps in my roster. I would actually grind DOffs UP using the personnel officer if I could be awarded specific specializations.

    I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH THIS!!!! Maybe 10,20,30 missions to promote like every 10 or 20 successful missions one is promoted. After all the green blue or purple Doffs were "promoted" before they landed in our ships airlocks, so why can't we continue to promote them while they serve us? After purple doff is gold level doff where they make 50% chance possible?

    Gold level cannot be traded or sold, but they can be created by player using purple doff successfully. THEN after few more missions, gold Doff can stay gold or option to make it a BOFF that when placed in a "Former DOFF" slot they can boost one or two missions a day by say extra 50 percent on either odds of success or loot and points gained. like a repeating Doff daily.
