Most of what I have seen says only run Space Khitomer and Conduit as a "noob" to the system......but those have such tiny mark payouts.....

How can I progress faster without joining "doomed" rooms....(by doomed rooms, I refer to the episode of "Manus" I tried where we constantly got wiped and had to restart boss battle....like 20 times before I finally quit like everyone else....)

If you just do Infected Space Elites, then at least 90% of all PUGs will be completed in a fast enough manner. It is the only Elite STF that I will actually PUG.

You just run ISE, CSE, and KASE every hour and you're set, specially during mark bonus hours. I'd do it now before the stupid changes that remove the calendar are implemented.

Well, if you're in a fleet with some very good players, then you can rattle off the STFs really quick.

If you want to find a really good team, here are a few channels to join.

    PublicEliteSTF (Public)
DPS-Public (Public, but higher dps channels require testing, and invites)
    EliteSTF (Invite only)

DPS-Public offers great advice as well, which you can never get enough of.

EliteSTF does have some pretty heavy rules, but I have been a member of that channel for 2 years nearly, 99% have been high quality runs.
I'm the guy that uses unconventional builds, and don't fall to the normal. I also don't believe in "No-BS" TRIBBLE, it's in the game, it's ready to be used. Think Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge.

    ISE, CSE, KASE????

I don't even see missions that start with those letters...what do you mean by all these letters?

    Infected Space Elite.

The reasons are myriad. First, there is no failure condition. Even a bad pug will finish it eventually assuming they stick to it. Second, and perhaps more important, somebody with a gravwell can just about guarantee the optional in all but the worst of groups. So long as everybody in the group goes to the correct side to start, and you don't get some yahoo that goes to the wrong side, a gravwell is just about all it takes to guarantee victory. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get used to feeling out how well the group is doing at taking out the generators, you can feel a slip coming, and can get into position to stop the spheres from reaching the transformer before you take them out. TBR can help with this as well, as EWP or many others, but I find gravity well to be the simplest.

Omega marks were my fastest grind, other then Dyson.
I once again match my character. Behold the power of PINK!

You can also visit Defera (Orellius sector block) and beam to the invasion zone for Ground missions against the Borg. The Easy and Medium missions can largely be soloed with about an hour's play and are a consistent source of marks particularly if done during the Bonus Mark event (and most give Fleet Marks as well).

Oy! I did Defera Ground Invasion exclusively for the first 60,000 Omega rep points (Tier 4). I killed so many Borg I think the Borg Queen actually knows my name.

    Never again!

Yes, you can solo the Easy and Mid missions in about an hour or so, but these are missions that give you 5 to 13 FMs each. I'd much rather spend 15 minutes doing an Infected Space Elite run with a pug and collect 60-100 FMs.

The Space mission rotation ISE, CSE, and KASE with a little practice and a steady group should be about half an hour a little less. After you have that cold, and should you want to start ground, you start with KAGE (Khitomer Accord Ground Elite) then CGE (Cure Ground Elite), and finally IGE which the game now calls Manus. IGE with optional is not a joke. It takes a good team, a good understanding of the strat and some decent gear.

It takes practice and not a lot folks run it these days. Even ESTF rarely has groups for it. There are other channels and fleets that focus on stfs and ground content.

But if you want to pursue ground I strongly suggest you find a fleet to do it with.

For a little break in the monotony, you could run one of the borg ground missions, they are ok but not great. Otherwise its just those three STF's everybody is telling you about, over and over again. Especially on bonus mark times (while they are still available. Now, if you already have a toon that has done the rep, take advantage of the sponsorship, its worth the time and effort to get it. It will cut the time in half, easily. But if you dont its not that big a deal, i did Borg and Nuk at the same time, switching between the two as i got bored with the other. Worked out just fine.
