Build Help: Fleet Patrol (Tac) PVE

Greetings!

I'd like to get some feedback on my build:

http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=fpatrol1_5879

This is strictly for ESTFs and missions (No PvP for now). I've been parsing 10-15k dps in ISE and I'm wondering how I can squeeze out some more dps.

Notes:
1) Doffs are 3x Damage Control Engineer, 1 Warp Core Engineer, 1 ?? (Not sure what to do with the 6th slot either once I unlock it). I do have 1 attack pattern doff available.

2) 2 of the vulnerability locators are "to be added" once my fleet gets more provisions.

3) I recently added the Grav Torp and console (3% crit was too tempting to pass up). In order to make it fit I had to drop an embassy plasma console. That torpedo is nice but I miss the plasma dot.

4) I'd like to stick with AP weapons. I am flexible on ship (but would like to stay with a Federation designed escort). I have access to all fleet escorts and the steamrunner.

5) I've heard that all cannons is higher DPS but I've been hesitant to try this. Thoughts?

***6) Forgot to add - I have 2 Romulan embassy doffs (1 superior 1 regular).

Thank you in advance for the feedback.

    solid build.
only thing that comes in mind is maybe to switch scatter volley and torpspread 3...that way when you activate tactical initiative you can rotate beta 3 and scatter volley 2

i personaly prefer aux2sif over rsp in PVE...very short cooldown and a good resi boost

for the doff slots, i'd go projectile doff...if the torp you use actually works with those doffs, idk. certainly doesn't work with omega torp.

i heard, and saw it too that all cannon = more dps.

Your pretty much in pay to get better territory...

Swap the epts for another eptw.

Remove the dce for maintenence battery doffs
Remove the warp core engineer for a quatermaster battery doff
Add a marion France dulmer and swap rsp for dem
Get a borg warfare doff for stfs

Only way your gonna see a big upgrade now....

Make sure you have 6-9 points in starship batteries 20 seconds of battery life. The maintenance doffs add 10% damage each when popping a weapons battery and the quatermaster reduces cool down time by 100%.

So you get 20 seconds of 30% damage every minute...not too shabby there
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

Thank you for the advice. I'll have to look into the batteries, I've never really given them much thought. I didn't realize that the 10% damage stacked per doff.

    A few follow-up questions:

    1) Attack pattern beta II/III vs. cannon abilities II/III - which should be slotted higher? My thinking was APB would give higher dps for the team as a whole. Is this correct?

    2) Switching to a 5 console ship like the Fleet Advanced or Fleet Tactical would be a marginal boost (while losing a bit of survivability)? A few posts that I read indicated that the 5th console was ~500dps.

    3) How about an Andorian ship? Does that 5th forward weapon make a huge difference?

    Thank you again.

If you are wanting a fleet quality escort that you can tank, I suggest the Fleet Escort Retrofit (Saber). I have one on one of my characters and it is a tough little ship once you get it dialed in just right.

wouldn't suggest that, only maybe if you like the design.
basically giving up an universal ensign and 4,5k HP for 1 turnrate?

2)5th console is probably even more, but it also soaks up alot of your console space.
3)5th forward weapon is huge boost, especially to escorts. Personally prefer the charal over the kumari. Kumari got too many tac boff seats, and the charal (and the khyzon) have basically the ideal boff seating.

Drop an universal console for a -threat plasma emabssy science console. You mentioned that you do estfs and no pvp. In that case, -threat is mandatory, while that bit of extra crit is merely nice to have. An escort will not tank an elite cube for any significant amount of time.

When you're running away out of arc or on respawn timer, you're not doing dps. If you move out of arc for even a few extra seconds, any dps gain you've accumulated over the entire run from that last bit of crit will be wiped out. Not to mention the plasma burn from that -threat console isn't nothing.
