Game says that when I hit level 4 dip, I can select a single bridge officer candidate from an enemy faction. So how do I claim my enemy BOFF?
They're not really gone, as long as we remember them

I believe you have to go to DS9 and talk to the Ambassador there on the upper level?

In Admiral Quinn's Office there is Jiro Sugiharo (sp?).

Talk to him and if you have reached T4 diplo he should have a store where you can select an appropriate BOFF there are variations on race, gender (where appropriate) and career.

This x10^999999999999999999. Seriously, if you goose it up or it bugs on you and gives you the wrong boff, then you are stuck with it. There is no way to hand it back in and the GMs will not help you.

And their 'Bind on Pickup' so don't even consider trying to sell them on the Exchange...

Only the very few 'Legacy' Diplomatic BOs are 'Unbound', which is why you can find a few very expensive ones on the Exchange...

Good to know that even though the Federation is bogged down in a protracted war with the Empire, the exchange program is still in effect. Wait, isn't that called spying?

Nope. It is knowing your friend from your enemy, and people do it right and wrong often. Lore-wise we have trust, or at least a working relationship with Worf and Garak (even if the latter walked a dark line). Several other lesser characters too, like Kira's Cardassian gul "father". History-wise we have many of German birth and tons of German-Americans helping the Allies in WWII. Grievously, our ancestors did not extend the same level of trust to friendly Japanese and Japanese-Americans. They assumed that just because one looked different, or had cultural differences, they could be a spy.

My Fed aligned Romulan was able to claim an Orion from Ambassador Jiro Sugihara in the Admirals Office at ESD with no problem. What I have not gotten yet is access to the Diplomatic corps uniform. Is this ever going to be available to the Romulans?
