Class limits in pvp ?

Hi there

first off please dont misstake this as a rant i enjoy pvp.lots of people complain of broken skills ect when i think the real problem is there is no limit on classes in a team.if Classes where limited to 2 of any class in a team it would balance teams out i dont think any skill ect is OP it only becomes OP when you have stacked teams eg.5 sci in one team with all the crit boffs and consoles sci are now hitting like tacs but they still have sub nuke and senssor scan ,5 of those in one team is over kill or 3/4 healers in one team is over kill most ballance issues would be sorted with limmits on claases in teams and would make for a better game .like i say i dont think any skill is op its the stacking of theses in teams that make it op

    The biggest problem I see with this is what happens when no engineers are queued up? Do the rest of us just sit in the queues until one decides to grace us with his or her presence?

    I think one of the biggest problems in this game, period, is the way things stack. A lot of things there's just no limit, you get 5 of anything and because there's no diminishing or limit on stacks it just runs completely out of control.

    1-2 FAW dpsers is ok, 5 OMFG MY FACE IS MELTING!!
    1-2 science captains is ok, 5 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
    1-2 TIF sorta ok (still a bit too powerful), 5 ugh, respawn.
    1-2 draining builds is ok, 5 and you have a team with no power sitting there like puddin.

    It's not that there needs to be a limit on what you can bring in, it's that you should have no or significantly less benefit to stacking all this stuff.

    You play other MMOs and a lot of them have limits to debuff stacks, self buffs are generally shorter or smaller and don't always stack.

    It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.

    Has damage got out of control?

    Was just thinking of this the other day too. Specifically your point about stacking 5 sci. Really, is their even a point to being a tactical captain anymore? You can now have about 23%+ crit chance and close to 100% crit severity base. Seems like in theory that should be sufficient damage, and the extra subnuke+scan would be more beneficial then tac captain buffs.

    This is why I like private matches where the organizer takes the time to clarify who's flying what for what kind of role (i.e., BoP ambusher, escort DPSer, fed DPS cruiser, etc). Then they organize the teams to be balanced at least in terms of the ship layouts. If they know the players they can gauge their overall skill and try to balance that as well. It doesn't always work, but it's nice.
