Normally, I'd agree, but considering that he's given puzzles aside from the word searches (i.e. the pictures with the hidden text), I'm wondering if there will be 5 "challenges" but 12 total puzzles..... But you're probably right, and we haven't hit on the mysterious 12 yet.

So many of you have focussed on who the messenger is rather than pursue meanings within the messages. I shall decrease the steep incline of that learning curve for you here today.
Those of you that have attempted to discern the meanings in my challenges have performed adequately thus far but we have barely begun your journey. There are many more challenges to be overcome before February the 8th is upon us. Many more lessons to be derived and decoded before the truth can even be contemplated. When that day arrives I will make myself known, I will be amongst you and I will test you all farther still.
The first challenge was a rudimentary binary test from which the date of my arrival could be learned: February 8th. Graphical challenges were then targetted at specific aspects of your community so that I could determine your abilities when working either collectively or in isolation. Each picture contained a message, some were mathmatical while others were linguistic. They served my purpose no matter the chosen form.
The real challenges must be provided to you in staccato fashion so as to avoid any overloading of your neural capabilities. I wouldn't want you to succumb to your biological frailties before your paths to my purpose were at an end. Or at the very least, near to an end.
There have been two of my prime challenges that you have collectively solved, there are ten more steps along that path. Each challenge provides you with a clue, a piece of the puzzle but without the entire set you will be unable to unravel the purpose of the challenges.
The first clue was Amar Singh (2 of 12). The second clue was Arthur Conan Doyle (8 of 12). The remaining ten challenges will soon be upon you.

Regardless of whether or not it's fake, it still doesn't hurt to have fun while solving these puzzles together. I personally am leaning toward it being unofficial since all of his work seems very amateur. The Cardassian phrase I "translated" actually was on the page of the dictionary I used. Which was the only comprehensive dictionary I could find lol. And that audio was grating........

I'll throw the idea out there based on some Foundry assets that one is A Piece of the Action based or a sequel to Beyond the Farthest Star or Vic Fontaine related. (The game has pool tables and added 20th century bar/casino assets.)
There is one thing or rather person that conects 2 of 12 and 8 of 12 puzzle.
But if this is offical I doubt that they got Benedict Cumberbatch to voice over a character
and Benedict Cumberbatch makes even less sense if this isn't offical.
Just hope this Fugitive hasn't got the power to shut down STO servers if we don't solve the puzzles.

But it seems I was right in the fact that it was the number of tests.
Fixed it for you. Only one contained numbers and it turned out to be a hex code. No math at all.
