Simple question from a "Rep n00b"

Been playing over a year, casually, and just started to tinker with the rep system.

Does anyone have a ballpark figure for the number of marks you need to max out a reputation? Exact numbers are not necessary. Assume I won't waste marks on the lower tier rewards (60 marks for a purple plasma rifle? Really?) and will just get the 'must-haves' (Hyper torp, etc.)

    Honestly, I am not sure... the rep system itself (if this is your first charcter through, (i.e. No Sponsorship token) expect at least a 1000-2000 to just get through the rep projects... unlocking stores and getting equipment can add to that number significantly.

    The good thing is, if you have been playing for a year, you have some extra XP points (this is where my newest toon fell short, and is struggling).. as for marks, it is easy enough to get the needed marks for the day from 1 or 2 missions from each flavor of marks you are looking for.

    2 STF's you are set for Omega (may even be 1 if you get the optional)
    1 Crystaline Entity Elite will cover you for Nukara

    Romulans... The TauDewa Daily + some Azure (or do some Epohh raising) will get you what you need to level up...

    I recommended holding off on gear until you finish (possible exception would be ground Omega gear (if you are into Ground STF's or Defera).

    Yeah, already lvl 50 and 1mil+ expertise. Completing the Romulan tier 1 was pretty much a question of, "Where do I go buy 20 Major regenerators and large hypos?" ;)

    Funny, what actually started me on this was the Winter Epohhs. I ran the race a couple of times and thought "What are these epohh tags and what do I do with them?" Next thing I know I had a couple of elders snuffling around my feet and I thought "OK, now what?" The answer, of course, was "sell 'em for marks". Found myself with several hundred marks and decided I should probably figure out what to spend them on. :)

    Not at all into STFs - I solo only, mainly due to severe spousal aggro. Team play just isn't something I can really do much of. So no real problem for me to hold off.

    Without access to sponsorship tokens (ie. it's your first character to do a given rep), 1500 marks are sufficient for the older reps. Excluding getting Commendations by actual gameplay, Dyson rep needs 2800 marks (used for 8 projects giving 5 Commendations each --> 40 Commendations each daily used for 2500 exp).

    It might actally be even below 1400 marks for the old reps if you choose carefully what projects you do (too lazy to figure it out now, but by choosing to do only the 2000 exp projects, you might manage it, of course, it will take a while longer to finish the rep).

    If you want to start with the Dyson Rep, I strongly recommend to play in the Sphere and get Commendations. The ground Battlezone is particularly generous in marks and dil as well.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
