I was curious if c-store Boffs were claimable by multiple characters on an account, or are single use to that character only.
I'm thinking of getting a caitian or borg boff, but as I generally play permadeath, I'd hate to waste a bunch of monies because I like deleting myself, and rerolling
The store does say trading, selling, discarding or training voids you from a replacement, which through its vague wording, implies you can get a new one if you dont do those things...
However, if you have a friend you trust and wanted to re-roll without losing your BOFF is trade it to a friend, delete your character, create the new one then have your friend trade it back to your new character.
(However, you have to be one rank above the BOFF itself to receive it from your friend. Say its a Lieutenant, you'd have to be Lieutenant-Commander or above.)
AFAIK comissioned boffs can only be traded from a player to an other player.
Both charactes need to be close (5 to 15 "in-game" meters, i don't rember the exact distance), then left-click on your friend's character and select the "trade" option from the menu.
You also need to remove all your boff's gear before the trade.

Though if you can trade it to a friend, you could trade it to your own handle, surely?:)
