i kinda wish they organized the weapons a tad with the weapon type in a tab on the left..
as it is now its just a huge list of all the weapons.. and its prone to the select one thing buy the thing under it bug which btw this bug is really making me mad with rep purchases..

I'm sure a good amount of fleets have unlocked the elite space shields, deflectors, and engines by now. There's bound to be info somewhere. I could probably take some caps and post the elite space shield info once the server's back up.

100% agree with the OP. It is good to have all this complexity and variety. But we need it organized in a way that is manageable. If we had a hierarchical list that broke them down from "most generalized" to most specific would work great.
This could be expanded to other items and applied to the exchange which badly needs this!

I'm actually looking to buy some ground elite weapons in the near future, and my fleet starbase has them unlocked.
Wondering which ones you guys would recommend. Pretty sure I'm going to go with the pulsewave for a gun, but would need some advice on buying shields and armor. I'm basically looking to cause damage and not die. lol.
Depends in the mission, the weapon and gear you need.
Let me put some examples:
STF against borg: pulsewave, melee weapons, plasma protection
In battlezone: long range weapons, some melee, proton protection
Against the Elachi: long/medium range weapons, melee,
Nowadays you have to versatile, adapt (much more faster than the borg )
and have gear of all type, switch fast and go into the battle (even for
space battle).
There is no a "universal" weapon to all task (some can be use for many
but not all), so you have to keep your "weapons locker" very mixed.
Added to above but no final, the weapon/gear depends on your tactic
to engage the enemy.
Example: If I go to battlezone and plan to fight using melee, I will unable
to kill the air-drones in the area, so I need like a "prostetic borg arm"
or rifle (long range weapons).
I don't sugest the Sniper's.
All "Depends".

All elite space weapons have an ACCx2, DMG option and cost 30k fleet marks, 15k dilithium.
Engines, Shields, Deflectors are 65k FMs and 30k dilithium.
