    I've noticed the same thing, especially when they (NPCs/Pets) use FAW. They also retarget you upon respawn too if you had agro before death. It's really annoying.

    I noticed this in an stf. Usually I can close on a cube or w/e in my little torp sub and at least attack before I start getting shot at. Today I kept getting tractored by the cube or attacked by raptors before I even blipped.

    I was fighting in a PUG group yesterday, they had a healer that spent the time buffing resists & heals of the cloaked vaper that found itself on their team. The healer constantly had the vaper targeted, our team knew exactly where the cloaker was and when he was coming back into the fight based on the distance diminishing.

    Is that an any way related problem?

    If someone, somewhere, on your team, has bad things like AMS or Scramble on them bad things may happen.

    I suppose we all know about the amazing stealth sight/tracking abilities of pets. This isn't even unique to STO. And like you said although related it doesn't seem to be 'it'.

    I think when a faction switching event happens, any friendlies that could see you that are affected, effectively reveal you to the enemy including pets/npcs.

    Just a thought.

    Hmm, I could be wrong, but I seem to remember it being mentioned somewhere that stealth works differently for NPCs compared to players - or was it placates? I can't remember.....

    It's always kind of been an issue that Pets could see cloaked ships. It allows folks to triangulate the position of a cloaked vessel. It's an annoyance of sorts, which basically just leads to shooting the pets to eliminate them to try to make do...

    ...but of late, they've actually been firing at cloaked ships as if the ships were not cloaked.

    You'll be flying along and they'll start shooting at you...doesn't matter if you're 8km out.

    Random Phaser proc from a Photonic and...hello.

    Is this tied into the issue where abilities were being passed along to pets? That's one thought, that perhaps a Sci that's boosted their Sensors would have pets with boosted Sensors too, right? Could explain the Photonics, eh?

    Wouldn't explain why it even happens with NPCs as well though...

    Somebody in another thread noticed that Rom Captains do not get the +150 Starship Stealth from the innate Sub trait. Most folks would likely not have noticed that since it doesn't stack and they probably had a Sub BOFF anyway.

    There are folks running AtB builds without any Perception buffs, not even EPtA, that with potentially drained Aux, are managing to see stealthed targets as if they were not only not cloaked, but that they had huge neon billboards pointing to them.

    Somebody with the Jem Mk XII Deflector, 3 in Sensors, and 50 Aux...in a non-Sci Vessel can pull off

    Base SDR: 20
    54 Sensors(@50 Aux): +10.8 = 30.8
    Jem Deflector Mk XII: +213.5 = 231.88

    Gives them 5122.15 Perception.

    Standard KDF Cloak @50 Aux would be 4975, add in a Pirate BOFF, and you're looking at 5050 Stealth Value. The above guy could see that KDF cloaker at 2km.

    Add in EPtA1, they're seeing them at 5km.

    Take that guy and put them in a Sci Vessel with 6 Sensors (84) with 135 Aux...and you're looking at...

    Base SDR: 60
    84 Sensors(@135 Aux): +136.08 = 196.08
    Jem Deflector Mk XII: +213.5 = 409.58

    Gives them 5204.79 Perception. They can see that KDF guy at ~3km now (or 6km with EPtA1...8km with EPtA3 if they can run it).

    A Warbird has +55 Stealth Value compared to their KDF counterparts, so you'd subtract 1.1km from those ranges.

    So with some of the above, one might see how the Photonics are shooting at cloaked folks if that's being passed along to them (or hangar pets in general)...

    ...but that NPCs are doing that as well, suggests there is something else going on, no?

    I was trying to ask about this, discuss it in OPvP, but my internet kept hitting me with SDRs or just outright dropping me (and yes, that tends to turn anything I'm talking about into a ragefest...could be talking about cute puppies and ice cream, and my internet would still have me with fire coming out my eyes)...

    Has anybody else noticed this with both pets and NPCs or with one without the other? Has anybody else noticed folks shooting at you - where you don't have a single debuff and they're not sporting any buffs...at a range that simply makes no sense?

    edit: I may have the item bonus for the Mk XII wrong, wasn't thinking about that - I used the Mk XI number there. Not sure what the bonus is for the Mk XII for the formula vonamicus did.

    It's not just direct pets like hangar pets and consumable pets, even indirect pets such as targettable thy and fleet support pets seem to be able to lock on and keep chasing a cloaked entity, no matter they are 5km away or 50km away.
