Mystery Magic Tour: 2nd Klingon Ship

So I think Branflakes said there was a 2nd Klingon ship in the making about 1 month ago ... when he came on ESD to "hype" Season 8. Now maybe I am remembering something incorrectly here but if I am not can we get a teaser? I am not really interested in the new BC (have Torkhat) but I would be interested in a new BoP or Raptor.

    The only klingon ship that I know of that is comming soon, is this one here...

    Well I know about that one ... hard to miss the enormous thread in Klingon fleetyard urging players to buy it. I could swear that Brankflakes suggested a 2nd ship is coming a little later. I don't understand why Cryptic has to be ... what's the word ... cryptic. :D

    Given the new Flanking mechanic, if there was another ship my guess would be BoP. Hopefully they'd put more emphasis on speed and flexibility (maybe a 3-pack of some kind), instead of just more damage.

    If there were to be one another BoP built around the new raider mechanics would make sense.

    VERY clever my friend! I never even noticed that before... In all seriousness they keep things a secret until they are ready for release that way the community won't B*ITCH and whine if it's delayed. GAL-X REFIT is a good example of why they no longer do peep show screenings of upcoming content.

    Cause we ALL know that the STO community ESPECIALLY KDF players love to be civil and understanding! *sarcasm implied* :rolleyes:

    Maybe that second ship will be a K'VORT finally! That would clear half the troll traffic off the forums in a frickin second! I'd almost give into having a TIER 5 Connie just to clear the other half off...

    Wouldn't be the first time that "two ships upcomming," means, "C-store and fleet versions of the same ship."

    I'm kind of expecting a revamped BoP. A Heghta refit would be very nice, indeed. Particularly if they made some more interchangeableness available on the parts.

    However, I would love for it to be a Raptor with a lt cmdr uni slot. So we could replicate the utility escort layouts (MVAE, HEC, Dhelan, Mogai etc). Preferably without the turn shenanigans the Qin has.

    Refits of the Negh'var and Hegh'ta were part of the "to do" ship list published when F2P came in, if memory serves.

    If we're getting a Negh'var redo in the shape of the Mogh - a BC that is actually the gunship the Negh'var always should have been - then perhaps the Hegh'ta is also on the schedule. I hope so, it's a great design that actually *looks* like a heavy Bird of Prey. 5/1 weapons is probably a bit much since the Breen raider is only 4/2, and the Hoh'sus has already sewn up the 4 tac console role, but perhaps it could take a dedicated Cdr Tac in exchange for an extra ensign slot?

    I would like to see a BoP 3 pack with 5 of each console type (each ship has 5 in one of the 3 types). Basically 5 2 3, 2 5 3, 3 2 5 for console layouts. Each one would have a special console, with set bonuses which change depending on which ship is using them.

    The sci gets boosts to sci skills and a new sci power

    The eng gets boosts to shields and hull, with an AoE heal + hull resistance buff

    The tac gets boosts to energy and projectile weapons skills, with a version of cloaked barrage which lets them shoot under cloak for ~10 seconds, with a 2 or 3 minute cooldown.

    Give us a reason to buy all 3, and use all of them depending on what we are looking for.

    Yeah I'm also expecting a new BoP or a refit of an existing one when they implement the BoP upgrades.

    5 tac consoles.
    Lt cmdr tac, cmdr Uni, 2x lt Uni, ens Uni.

    3 set.

    Personally I would love to see these 2 ideas combined except instead of a CMDR Tac, make the LTCmdr station the flavor of the ship ( exa... 5 eng consoles = LTC Eng station + Universal ensign) this would give you 5 Boffs (4 Univs +1 fixed ) I'd purchase that so fast my wallet would have whiplash, especially with the dmg boost from running an all Nausicaan crew :D, they can mind the ship the cuties can be on the Away team.

    PS I'd still like some Nausicaan females as an option even if it was a c-store unlock.

    Since nobody likes the Ha'nom, they've said they're making a nice Vesta-like science ship for Romulans. Perhaps they're just going to go ahead and make a similar Klingon science ship, too.

    Althought i would understand that a vesta-like sci ship for the klingons would be cool, i just hope it doesn't turn into the "final nail in the coffin" for future klingon sci ships.... we've still got a BIG deficit of those.

    I would prefer they leave they Vesta fed only and design something new for Romsnand KDF.

    Damn, what is it about all the T5 Constitution hate. Sheesh. If I spent that much energy & time on hating the ships that I think shouldn't be here, or be very high on the tier pole, I'd have nothing left for the last 2 minutes of every day, for the next 10 years. You don't like it, that's fine. Everyone's got their own opinion of what they like. But to moan about it THAT much, is just in poor taste.
