i mean i like the idea of putting some additional rewards on the different CXP ranks like diplomacy has with the transwarps, that is something Heretic wanted to do *later* (said so in multiple chats, maybe some interviews)... of course that was while he was still working on STO and now that seems to have gone under.
And on topic: if Accolades give 2% bonus for everything, i think the DOff system could give 2% too instead of 1% ...in fact we should get 3% for waiting so long for it ;P

I am also quite fine with the Dil, EC and Fleet Mark rewards of the current system. And not having to buy my active doffs is good, too.
Adding unique (not attainable without doffing) is going to attract unwanted attraction. And I don't want the doff system to be whined to hell.
I do support an overhaul of some parts, like why my crew is only willing to construct certain prototypes in certain sector blocks. And adding new active powers is also always welcome. But I don't want to see things, that make it seem necessary to doff for people who don't want to.
Examples:
Jevonite hardpoints. This consumable item temporarily increases the HP of your ship. It can only be synthesized via a doff mission.
Mobility shields are similar, they're equivalent to a Mk11 purple, even though they're technically blues. And they must be fabricated from a personal doff mission.

I don't recall hearing any Dev at any point say "we're going to overhaul the DOFF system". I have heard Devs commenting about changing this or that, but nothing confirmed or definite.
IF it changes, it will be tied to something else they're working on. That could be a full-blown crew system, or a crafting overhaul (redux), or something else. But at this point, I would expect tweaks and new features over a redo.

I like this idea a lot, but not sure how practical that is. Missions, maps, and queues have to be designed to be cross-faction from the start, AFAIK. There's a lot they'd have to go back to change to make this possible and I don't know if it passes their "bang for the buck" test.

The sad part is that - in theory - there is some sort of crafting system implemented into the Doff system. We can craft weapons, warp cores, shields, engines, ground and space equipment, consoles, turrets, swords, premium consumables etc... through Doffing.
Unfortunately, some dimwit decided it's for the better to turn everything that can drop from a doff mission into vendor trash by introducing vastly superiour fleet and reputation gear.I loved those 2-3 weeks when we had a bit of a renaissance when warp cores were introduced, but that ebbed down as soon as fleets hit the respective mine holdings...
