Ok, they really need to up the drops on Beads and Bell item drops in the winter event. I have been playing since it opened and have only gotten 1 bead. -_-
It was the same problem last year. But last year we were able to dig them.
The uncommon drop rate is ridiculous, especially in the winter invasion event.
They drop on crits. There are 3-4 assignments available all the time, some at WW, some at ESD/1st City (none at NR Command).
Yep, that's mean I have around 20DOFF mission, and no green from them.
Also, that's beside the point, as the items should be available without the need of purple DOFFs, and the queued mission should award a lot more than AFK doffing.
So many items in the store..........unless you are a hardcore grinder, you aren't going to get most of that stuff in the store on all your characters.
Of course desperate people will buy the costumes on the Exchange for a couple million or buy Zen to buy the packs in hopes they get the uncommons they need. Which really is disappointing since it defeats the fun factor, because we aren't here to grind, we are here to have fun.
Yes after 9 straight hours of grinding every mission including doff missions, the common-uncommon drop ratio I have noticed is roughly 50:1 with 1 uncommon drop no less than every 15mins tops. They should have made them rare or VR and not uncommon!

My results are about the same, though I get 1 per 8 minutes, I always have been lucky

These are pretty rare. I do DOFF missions (on eight toons), participate in the snowman event, do the gingerbread colony, and I still only have... 21 bells and 13 beads. They drop in such small amounts, and it's really a pain to try and collect so many of them to get all of the costume options if you have several alts.
I've said it before, but... 3 outfit types and 5 colors times however many alts you have... that can easily add up to hundreds of these things required if you wanna get all your alts outfitted. I think the outfits should either be... a) account unlock or b) three different kinds, but with a palette instead of static colors. There's no real reason (other than artificially boosting the difficulty) to use static colors when the tech already exists to give outfits a palette.
If you have to bump costs up slightly, I think that would be an acceptable trade-off.
Im just greatful that I got a truckload of commodities last year, since we can't get nice surprises from snowpiles, it makes things a little bit more " grindy ", or you can spend a fortune on the exchange.
didn't know you could get the bells and beads from doff's - which missions? I only want to grab a nano pulse weapon for my Rommie toon and already hate the grind for these two mat's.. I have enough of everything else to buy a dozen weapons, still only two of these.
Agreed on the drop rate for the Uncommons. It's terrible, and I'm wondering when the developer in charge of rewards will be getting his visit from some ghosts to enlighten him to how stingy this is.
All I can think of is head sounds like bed and bead sounds like deed...
Tomb, bomb, comb and aplomb, the only 4 words (outside of compounds that use one of them, like honeycomb) that I can think of in the English language that end in "omb" can have, depending on which pronunciation you use for aplomb, 4 different vowel sounds for that o. English is a goofy language.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

I did get a terran ornament from a snowpile this year. I didn't bother actually mining snowpiles this year.

RNG hates you apparently. Got new snowball weapons for 4 characters so far, seeing no problem with having all 10 in winter jackets with snowball guns before next week ends with ease.
The drop rate makes more sense when you look at what it takes to build the fleet starbase holiday ornament. By the time individual captains are done tricking all their 100 alts it is hard to get folks to pony up 228 of everything...

Ditto, already bought 3 new guns, and I have the mats required to buy more. Then again, I rock at Snowman hunter.
