I would like the changes made to the Exchange Reverted back to the way they were

I just patched up and went to see what's going on with the exchange and I don't like the way the new search options function at all.

I like being able to search for items by newly listed 1st and that does not seem to be possible anymore.

From what I understand, the "newly listed" sort didn't actually work.

Too bad, I like it...vast improvement over the poorly functioning one they had until now. ;);)

    It was better than nothing.

    I second this request...

We players would like to have something to spot new items on the exchange.

Items that come from lockboxes or winter event items etc...

Currently that's not really possible with all existing options, except maybe sort from high to low... but even that don't work if price for new stuff is something more reasonable.

All the new stuff will be dwarfed by useless cheap TRIBBLE under reward packs... filling up all 400 slots.

Perhaps it's better to limit the exchange to the cheapest 5 items for each type to prevent a spam screenshot ! ;)

I think the exchange needs a major overhaul... it needs to be expanded in a big way... more search options, more filters, more sorting, all kinds of stuff... perhaps this will make it complex for noobs, or maybe not at all, but make it an option to switch between compact exchange view and advanced exchange view.

Filters for modifiers and such might be nice too... now sometimes it's a bit strange with x2 x3 etc...

Think it through come up with something good/brilliant... I think it can be done better than it's current state.

So many items now... it really needs some good work. Perhaps even include "advertisements spots" which can be bought by players to advertise their stuff at prime locations that could be funny.

At least add some kind of: "display new items only" or so ;) with some time setting or so... or simply "sort on new items". or "sort on item release date" something like that...

instead they should fix the fleet status and sorting in fleets by contribution values, so we can identify the lollygaggers.

Me too. I Searched by expire time very often. Now there is no way to see new items on exchange as descending expire time was removed.

LOL, "Professional Accidental-Bid-Snipers" should UNIONIZE! Fight the Power! ;)
Please reconsider ARC. Please make it optional, at the least. PLEASE.
It seems the vast majority of your most active players (forum regulars) hate the idea... and while that's a small subset of the playerbase, I think it's an important constituency.

I do not think the term bid sniper applies here since the exchange is first click buys and there's no actual bidding on the Exchange.

The search by descending expired time option work incredibly well and could be used in categories to see any and all newly listed items in that category so it was very useful for bargain hunters or just to see what's hot in that category.

I cannot believe that Cryptic would remove such a good and working search filter for no apparent reason.

I usually search by descending expire time to see what is the newest item on market. And it worked.

    I want it back!

    Thank you.

You know what I want back? The way the exchange interface used to leave my category selection where it was when I toggled between the "buy" and "sell" tabs. Then they added these top-level menues, and it defaults to the first item in the menu. Search on "impulse engines," switch tabs to sell one, then switch back to search for your listing, but NOPE! It's defaulted to "deflectors".

Why, why, why, why WHY would you incorporate such an annoying little bottleneck if you're going to the effort of a big revamp? It might not seem like a big deal if you're selling a single item and skipping off on your merry way, but it piles on the aggravation factor if you're offloading a full inventory worth of loot.

It better not be a case of TRIBBLE real, honest players just to thwart the "unfair" practices of professional, mass exchange farmers or something.

I fail to see how expiry time was useful. I would search primarily by price. I don't see any advantage in buying something simply because it's been listed longer.

    I agree to raiksolo!
I've been playing the beta and the auction house has received much too little attention. Some sort functions also appear to me quite meaningless, as what it no longer exists now!

And please excuse my bad english ... Google has "helped" me ...

To be fair, I can understand people want to see the latest thing listed. Sort of. ( I mean, searching for any new post, rather than a specific thing that you actually want to help your ship? Seems sketchy to me...)

But I too see that if someone is sitting on the market, waiting for someone to accidentally post a Mk XII purple warp core for 1200 ec instead of 1.2m ec, or a shiny new Voth cruiser for 9 million instead of 90 million... because they fat-fingered their post price (which I incorrectly labeled 'bid' above, but you knew what I meant) and before they can correct their mistake, someone 'snipes' the item out (I've seen this in chat pretty often)... well, you can say 'seller beware' all you want, but some might want to discourage that sort of activity.

Probably happens to everyone, but I can see it happening to market-novices more than vets, and I can also see it discouraging them pretty strongly...

Perhaps a 5-second posting delay might help that sort of thing, i dunno.
