There are some Energy Weapons officers which has cooldown reductions on special cannon abilities.
The tooltip for very rare stats: Chance to reduce the time for any cannon special attack to recharge after use. 50% chance to reduce remaining recharge time by 10 sec.
If you put two of these officers in the active duty roster, how does the reduction works for example with cannon rapid fire? Suposing the recharge time is 30 sec.
The math says the chance for they both to proc is 25%, the chance for only one of them to proc is 50% and 25% for no proc at all. If they both proc, should I have a reduction of 20 seconds? I am trying and only see 10 sec reductions.
I know I can not have a 20 sec reduction because the cooldown is 15 sec, and with a 20 sec reduction I would have 10 sec remaining which is less than the cooldown. However I was expecting to have 15 sec cooldown reduction which is not happening.
I was expecting something like this.
start CRF -> 30 sec recharge time starts -> First duty procs ->10 second reduction -> Second duty procs -> 10 second reduction, actualy reduced to 5 because cooldown timer.
This is never happening, so I thik there are some causes:
a) Reduction time don't stack they may both proc providing only 10 sec reduction or the second proc is just ignored if the first duty already did proc.
b) Second reduction time is ignored because implies a final remaining time lower than 15 sec cooldown, no 5 seconds of efective reduction, just no reduction.
Maybe any developer or someone can confirm this? because having a second duty this way is useless and very rare duties of this kind are quite expensive.
I've tried with a doff with only 8 points in CRF skill. This way the recharge time is 35 seconds instead of 30 seconds with 9 skill points.
This way I've seen the 20 sec reduction is applied sometimes, so we can say the doffs do stack. In this situation the remaining time is equal to the cooldown timer.
The two situations are then as follows:
9 skill points in CRF:
2 active doff proc -> chance=25% -> recharge time 20 sec. since the 2nd proc is ignored
1 active doff procs-> chance = 50% -> recharge time 20 sec.
no doff proc-> chance 25% -> recharge time 30 sec.
8 skill points in CRF:
2 active doff proc-> chance= 25% -> Recharge time 15 sec
1 active doff procs-> chance = 50% -> Recharge time 25 sec
no doff proc -> chance = 25% -> Recharge time 35 sec
In the first case, with 9 skill points in CRF, I don't understand why the 2nd proc is totally ignored, I think we should have a 5 sec recharge time reduction. don't you think so?
