Senator 1: The Emergency Committee only has that power during an emergency!

Senator 3: What would you call this?! Senator Ki'ala has the government experience--

Terrace walks into the war room for another day monitoring the situation and reading through the reports from prowlers searching through deep space.

Terrace: Solace bring up grid 90-890 and file alpha

    Solace: aye sir

Terrace: there is problems all over the quadrant and prowlers are reporting heavy sommunications here and here. We have seen almost no romulan traffic and only a few encrypted transmission from them to the republic and to other powers.

    Solace: your thoughts sir?

Terrace: they are planning something sadly we cant get a prowler in there cause they are even better at cloaking then the prowler. We can only go with the communications they pick up along the border.

Holtz: How is your daughter son...

Pat: Liv... doesn't like it when there are projects for me being sent to. Luckily my daughter is not on Earth... Liv on the other hand... she is still there..

    Holtz: I am sorry...

Pat: I can't think about it, the only way I can do it is to work and help end this madness.

    What do we have?

Holtz: Something I am not proud of.

Pat: What did you do in your earlier career anyway...

Holtz: I worked with many governments, and some shady ones. But I had one thing... The science...

    I just ....

Pat: *Looking through the files his father has up on the terminal and comparing them...*

My god.. This pathogen... It was you?

Holtz: It is mine for not destroying my work... I don't regret what I was working towards, just what Stane did with it...

Pat: Says here that you, Stane, and some Dr. Halsey worked on this thing...

Holtz: Yes. The three of us did... But Franklin Drake... The man was a madman... This was perversion of science.. it went against everything... hence why I left the project.

Patrick: I dunno... I dunno who you are... The only thing I can think...

Holtz: Is curing it.. and eradicating it from existence.

Pat: I will do that.. but I dunno if I can forgive you for this.

Holtz: I know. Enough have already died because of me.

*Sick Bay an Innovade is drawing blood from Terry as per instruction, Resh eases as he takes the blood into the system and examines it.*

Resh: Well Captain... your DNA right off the edge is different than any human we have on record. The compound that awoke you early in life has awakened things and your Newtype powers have also progressed... We however do not exactly have a benchmark on what an Innovator is.

Terry: So I am not exactly a naturally born human am I..

Resh: From my time with humans and other species I don't think that makes you much different.. You are still human but I will send this sample read out to my people on the citadel. It could give us an idea as to what to look for.

Terry: Sure thing, I just don't know about a lot of things.

Resh: I do have to give one warning sir. What made your DNA unique is similar to what we see in clones or gholas. Except yours its lit up like those holiday trees I see every December...

    Terry: What does that mean?

Resh: Genetic memory. You remember every genetic ancestor you have and this can give the historical community some interesting insights into life during those times.

Terry: What would happen if I was exposed to the compound again in more concentrated doses?

Resh: Sir that would probably kill you or drive you mad with visions given your newtype power.

Terry: Alright. Keep that information under lock and key alright.. No need for Stane's men to find this..

    Resh: I understand sir.

    Also another thing sir...

    Terry: What is it.

Resh: Have your dreams been recurring?

    Terry: Yes...

Resh: Then the compound would likely be dangerous with more exposure to it.

Bishop walks through the city streets. Seeing the people at ease. He sadly knows what is coming. A little child runs up to him as he greets her. She runs back towards a house. He closes his eyes and opens them and sees the burning as people are either killed or herded away.

He shuts off the program. Returns to his room and tries to meditate. He sees the finale day.

    Precursor: what have you done!

Bishop: what I did I did without choice. In the name of peace and sanity. I'm sorry.

He opens his eyes and heads back towards the bridge.

Kenway: Alright bring us about and target their damaged area and open fire...

Ade: Aye Sir.. Pack the nassals and hard to port open the portside torpedo and zeropoint MAMs and open fire.

OOC: MAMs aren't weapon units, they're power generators. The Republic uses them to power non-essential systems so the warp core and fusion reactors can focus on essentials and weapons.

They don't necessarily have any connections to the weapons systems. Also, Republic Police ships aren't heavily armed with Zero Point weaponry. They have a dorsal and ventral ZPCs in case they need the extra firepower, but that's usually it.

Also, this is one of the advanced Orion frigates Stane built for the Duranus Cartel.

*S.S. Tora Zhiyal. The transport pulls up alongside the Orions as the Elim is beamed into the hold. In the Orion transporter room, Samana stands next to the console as Drake is escorted onto the pad.*

Samana: Lucky your ship got here when it did, Captain. When you get back, remember this.

*Drake nods as Tara is brought in, with a Brute restraining her as she is pulled past Samana and onto the pad. Tara glares at her hatefully as the brute releases her and Samana puts up a restraining field.*

I guess you forgot what happened the last time you tried to give yourself a life, T.

*Tara clenches her fists as Blake looks at her.*

Tara: I will make you pay...

Samana: Blah, blah, blah! I've heard it before!

*She beams them back to the Zhiyal as the Frigate pulls off towards unsecured space.*

*Romulus City, Romulus. Jorat is giving a speech to the Romulan people at a massive rally, with armies of troops standing in rank, some columns marching through. The troops are wearing grey uniforms with the pointed shoulders typical of Romulan uniforms. They also have dark green trim as well as elbow pads, knee pads and boots, combined with dark grey equipment belts and helmets (without visors, leaving the face visible).

This is a rare occasion as the Republic Information Network News (RIN News) service and the GNN and FNN have been allowed to broadcast the speech.*

Jorat: And I promise you, our people will survive the Klingons' treachery of unleashing this plague upon us! For now, take comfort in the fact that they have unleashed it upon themselves as well. Our enemies, in trying to destroy us, have destroyed themselves for their dishonourable act!

As for the Federation, they are no threat. With the loss of Earth, their Terran masters have lost their grasp! Romulus is free to take back what was hers!

Our allies in the Republic understand our plight! As of two hours ago, Emergency Councillor Ki'ala, acting in the absence of the Republic's leadership, has agreed to open negotiations for a new Roma-Republican Alliance! To prove Romulus' status as a Galactic Superpower, I shall negotiate and sign this treaty myself, on the Citadel, with the I.R.W. Sela and 2 other warbirds in attendance! Romulans, rejoice! It has been a long journey, but you have endured! I have never been prouder to be Romulan!

    Roma Forema!

Crowds *in unison, elated*: Roma Forema!

*The speech is broadcasted by all attending news agencies, reaching Matt and R'iak on the Citadel.*

Matt: You've got to negotiate with him...

R'iak: Don't think you're getting out of it, Matt. I need your advice on the strategic points.

Matt: You think he'll lay a claim on Dacar?

R'iak: I doubt it. He wants the resources and we're prepared to give them to him... just from a different system.

    Matt: I hope you're right.

In the meantime, Councillor Ki'ala has asked me to send a ship hunting for the cabinet's transport.

    R'iak: She didn't waste time.

Matt: Her post is just until the Senate decides how long to wait for the cabinet before holding an election.

R'iak: You know, there's a massive storm over Ki'ala holding that office after her second term.

Matt: Then I suggest they read our constitution instead of the Federation's. A President can hold office for more than 2 terms; it just doesn't usually happen. They also can only have 2 consecutive terms, but they can run again after 1 term out of office.

Ki'ala hasn't held office for 3 years, by her own choice.

R'iak: Some are actually suggesting her to run if the Senate decides to hold elections.

Matt: That's their decision. If she runs, I may vote for her.

I've always been a Unionist at heart. I don't like the Consolidationists.

R'iak: Let's get back to the Romulans, shall we?

Matt: Right. Wait for it, any second Bright's gonna come through that door asking about the Romulans, why we didn't tell the Federation we were negotiating a treaty, why the Council didn't know, why we're making a treaty with a nation who's under Convention trade sanctions, why we would even consider making a treaty with an enemy of both the Klingons and the Federation and--

Oh, and I suspect the C.I.S. ambassador will come in here as well.

    Just watch.

If the Emperor wants to drive the idea that he is a superpower then he is going to be sorely mistaken when the enemy is on his doorstep...

Wax: They turned down the UGC meeting at the war summit so apparently they did not want to listen. I think we pull our forces in response...

Bright: No.. The only reason they are around right now is because we have not wavered. Since the Republic wants to feed a mad dog we only wait and defend ourselves. The council agent has already been sent to the area in question so I do fear that he is up for it.

Wax: Its James' son Admiral he will be fine.

Bright: I am not going to bother speaking with them but oversee. They want to make their bed they will have to face the music for it soon enough.
