Compression Phaser Rifle

In the Voyager Series, the crew used what they called Compression Phaser Rifles. Personally, I think they look absolutly HOT!! Maybe offer a rare Compression Phaser Rifle in a Featured Episode, maybe to use with the upcoming EV suits? On TV it has bolt and beam ablility, maybe for the primary attack a regular bolt, and the powerful secondary attack could be a beam, kinda like a beam overload for ground combat. I think it would be a great addition to the game! Thanks

Here is a place with great stats and AWESOME pics of it.

The skin would be nice, but as for functionality it's already in the game.

I would like to see the different rifles of this era become mission rewards for the next episode series (with the teased connection to 2374). Even if it's just one mission's rewards, there can be multiple options to choose from, and they could even add more later as replay rewards.

that would indeed justify it as a reward if its tied to an older reference

With the ground combat revamp coming in season 4, it was said, that all the existing weapons would get a a design revamp too, and they're aiming towards canon. So we'll finally see some canon phaser rifles and disruptors, aside from all the new weapons being added (like miniguns). I see this one replacing the phaser pulse rifle design for example.

Yeah, I'm sure the recent enhancements in phasers have more to do with efficiency, safety, and utility than firepower. Many guns from the early 20th century and even some from before work fine today, but the average soldier needs something lighter, easier, more durable, and faster-firing. Starfleet's needs change, and it isn't just an arms race to make more powerful phasers, especially when they can already disintegrate people.

The classic phaser is like an old revolver. Keep it in good condition, and it shoots fine, but don't expect to be able to upgrade the targeting or have an abundance of power cells handy. But thank goodness for replicators.

I`d like to a Elite Force 2 style compression rifle. With the correct visuals and a working light and stuff. It could be a freebie for all players at level 50 to use, or players who are not level 50 could have it and, wait until they can use it!

I just wish they would do what they would with some effects where you can turn it off and it would look like the MKI version because I would much prefer that look rather then the one with 20 holograms and what looks like 5 scopes.

    Necropost (nee-kro-post)

    1. (noun) A post which revives an inactive ("dead") conversation on a message board. It generally attracts others who attempt to kill it by fire.

    2. (verb) The act of creating a necropost. DON'T DO IT!

    Synonyms: Spamming

Please remember to check the dates of threads; and if you find an old thread which violates the PWE Community Rules and Policies or has been inactive for over 30 days before someone replied to it just report it and avoid posting in it.

Please bear in mind that re-posting in "necro'd" threads is considered a form of spamming.

Note that you're more than welcome to post in an existing active topic or to start a new thread on the topic if there are no active topics already.
