hi all;

i am a science officer, however i play aggressivally. im looking for an aggressive tank ship. i have no idea which fleet ship i would want to use :(

i have a few ideas of what ships to use. here they are;

Fleet exploration cruiser retrofit (without the sauser) Weapons: elite phasers
Fleet tactical escort retrofit (defiant without cloak) Weapons: advanced ap dhc + turret
Fleet Support Cruiser Retrofit. Weapons: IDK
Fleet Long Range Science Vessel( voyager with ablative generator) Weapons: phased something.

Magic Rainbow pooping unicorn
^ not serious xD

i already know how id build them when it comes to weapons. but im just stuck..... HELP ME PLEASE :'C i dunno what i would want to stick with..

my skills i can alter for overal use in pve and pvp. same with the use of the ship. it has to be easy to convert from pve to pvp and vise versa. or perfectly built with both.

you can inbox me in game or message me on this if you wish. my tag is @chaseling94. i hope you guys can help me soon :o.

    If you want an "aggressive" tank, possibly the Fleet Support Cruiser is the way to go. The Fleet Exploration Cruiser Retrofit is a powerful tank (when I played it, nothing short of the Voth's Bastion gives it trouble, not even the Borg does that), but it lacks power as it only has two Tac consoles. Though, playing with Antiproton weaponry and the Breen torpedo set really ramps it up. The Ablative Generator is a good console from what I've read, but you'll probably want to turn the LRSV into a Torpedo Boat as that console kills energy weapons and shields. Not sure about the Tactical Escort Retrofit. The Fleet Support Cruiser's slightly weaker over the Exploration Cruiser, but it has a lot more tactical versitility.

    hi bro look if yuo play agresive forget the galaxy no way that ship goin to be agresive can be tank if setup correct a heavy tank but not the best tank out there. i have the galaxy in all class captain focused on beam or torpedos and is a no go.

    No idea for the Fleet tactical escort retrofit never have one but see that one be hard to kill alone (time enof to their friends come to heal him) tac focused desing .

    Fleet Support Cruiser Retrofit . goin to do the same of the galaxy but best have more options and less conflicts and less shared colddown more tac options and consoles = a bit more dmg than the galaxy .

    Fleet Long Range Science Vessel , dont have that one but can be a heavy torpedo/scie nightmare

    hope it info help and sry for mi english

    im one of the few stubborn still fly the galaxy

    no worries bout your english m8.

    i also am a stubborn fan of the galaxy. i love it. its a sexy ship. if i could id own one. i could make a mega tank out of it though. 4 mk xii enhanced neutrioniums . 2 with hullhp 2 wiht hullreg.
    shield generatos etc. i could make a beast tank using it. and use fleet elite phasers.

    i just dunno what one to get though. i might just get a galaxy cause its soo smexy and beautiful and oh... im having a crisis xD

    I'm a science captain and my main ship is the Fleet Support Cruiser. I love it.

    Another vote for the Fleet Support Cruiser. The universal is in a good place letting you be quite flexible, (add a sci lt, use damage-control doffs for the eng stations, tanky sci ship) it takes hits the way a cruiser should, carries the full suite of cruiser commands, and has enough punch to be noticable. And to top it all off, it has the classic Fed lines.

    The Regent, Excelsior, Avenger, and their Fleet counterparts are better geared toward aggressive play, with Tactical Lieutenant Commander seats and a higher number of Tactical consoles (4 Tac on all three Fleet variants).

    Of the four you listed, the only one that offers a balance of defense and offense is the Fleet Support Cruiser.

    All of these are excellent choices, and another alternative would be the fleet-grade Odyssey Tactical star cruiser. It makes a DEALY opponents with loaded with DBBs and with the 2 piece console set (worker bees and chevron separation, since the Aquarius is a wasted console slot). Its tactical capabilities are superb when you get the bonus turnrate AND the saucer separation, which lets you turn like a bloody battlecruiser, and not the fed kind?the 2 piece console set grants +.5 turnrate and the saucer separation grants +8; strategic maneuvering cruiser ability grants +3, so you could fly this thing like a friggin escort. I could show you a build if you wanted. Another place to see it in action is Umbreona's channel on YouTube. Happy Hunting.
