Aussie looking for fleet

Heya guys, I'm looking for a fleet with a few southern hemisphere players in it that is reasonably laid back and has peoples who just enjoy playing the game. Must have a mature (as in age, not language) player base who are well past the dramas and ego of youth, and happy to have a casual chat about weather, movies, or the game in general. I'm a retired raider from swtor, wow and a couple other mmo's and just want to have fun in sto without the hassles of 'young'uns' having a fit in fleet chat over their latest difficult pug :)

Bit about me, as said I'm a long time mmo player, fairly serious gamer as in I enjoy the grinds and characters that are fun to play. Also an easy going guy who is pretty positive, tolerant and patient.

Been playing STO for about 4 months now and loving the game, going lifer tomorrow actually so will be around for a while. I also enjoy movies, cats, long walks on the beach and my idea of a perfect date is dinner by candlelight with the cast of Baywatch.

TS3 would be nice but not a requirement, starbase level doesn't concern me. Oh, and not a pvp fan lol.

Anyways if you think I'd enjoy your fleet, and I'd fit in with them, then let me know.

    Hi Kemra1,

    I'll keep this short as I am posting on a train on the way to work. I am currently in a small fleet, mostly european and was looking to get some more players in the fleet from my neck of the woods. We have a forum and a great group of friendly, knowledgeable and fun fleetmates. However as I said its a small fleet so there maybe times where you are the only fleet member on. PM @advenav2 and we can go from there.

    Otherwise there is ausmonaughts who are an Anzac fleet that are relatively large.

    Task force spectre has a fair few southerners in the fleets, myself included. Im in the mighty new zealand. But if you were looking for a australian majority player fleet might I suggest the ausmonauts? Im sure one of them will pick up this thread shortly

    I am thinking that we may be able to help you out. With our numbers online in north America and the UK we seem to have people in the game all the time. Since we are a MATURE (+30) fleet we have lots of people on shift work, retired and semi-retired so we always have extra people in the game on those odd, downunder peek times.

    We just started recruiting again after 8 months and we could be the fleet for you.

    We have no rules and nothing is mandatory. We are very relaxed and we are social first.
    We have a good mix of people with a lot of experience and some newbie's. Lots of areas that you can explore as a fleet if you are interested.

    Several people have beaten me to it, but the Ausmonauts are the largest oceanic fleet in STO. We have members from Australia, Nz and a few from the rest of the world too. We have a tier 5 starbase, finished embassy and dilithium mine and we are working on the spire. There are no contribution requirements to access our fleet stores, just a probationary period then you have full access to buy all you can afford. We also have many allies who we run missions with in game and other tomfoolery.
    Last but not least, we have our own website forums and ventrillo server that we use for mission co-ordination or just chatter.

    Thanks for the responses everyone, stoadvenav2 could you forum pm me with a link to your forums? Also interested in hearing more about your fleet if you can PM me as well metalkoreking :)

    Really not after a large fleet, just after something small and quiet with some decent and relaxed peoples, the larger fleets look shiny, but way too formal sorry guys, I wouldn't fit in, I let go of a girlish giggle everytime someone salutes a fleet officer :P *clears throat and deepens voice* I mean a manly laugh of course...

    Hi Names Kris and I been playing for almost 2 years, lvl 50 fed. looking for more of a fleet from close by I am myself from the gold coast and looking for peeps to mish and harvest with. look fwd to the reply. I am a good friend of tirren who is also part of your fleet so if u need a ref hes your man.

    It is with a sincere spirit that I would wish to welcome you to this community of friends and players. There are quite a few fleets in which to choose from that offer different venues of interests and focus. I am new here myself, as is Serenity Wings fleet which I am with. We are working toward completion of our spacestation, and other tier 1 projects. A healthy mix of people who love the different mission challenges for improving and strengthening their ships and characters. And I think we all enjoy the different science mission projects we come up with (one each month?). Planetary Biodiversity Studies, Xeno-Archaeology, and Extrasolar Astronomy Investigations. There's also nice first-contact diplomatic work which any new fleet must undertake. I like to think that we are the Science Arm of Fleet Command. We are a Romulan Republic fleet allied with our stellar neighbor, the Federation for purposes of rebuilding the science capabilities of our newly formed colony on New Romulus. So it's an everyday thing for Federation officers to work alongside Romulans in building a better future. So we're something of Pioneers, starting from scratch as is our entire civilization. Although our growing membership consists of sociable people from North America and the different European countries. We can extend an offer of fleet cooperation with whichever fleet that you would soon come to call home. There are good people here, from about every timezone. If I happen to bump into you in-game.. would be delighted to sit and talk for a spell. :-)
