The Voth Rep console say that it affects proton wpns, where if you look at an Induction Coil it states that it affects disruptor Damage.
The new Voth Rep weapons are Protonic Polarons with Polaron damage, so would both Voth rep consoles and Voth set bonuses affect these wpns or do I need have Antiproton wpns to get the buffs from them?
Also would the Jem-Hadar set and Polaron Tact consoles affect these as well?
Thanks for any insight on this:)
Antiiproton weapons are not affected by the Dyson Console. Antiproton and proton are two different types of damage. So a console that increases proton damage would increase the damage from the proc on the Dyson weapons, but not the main damage from it.

What this person said, I believe the voth rep space set uses proton damage but I don't remember off hand.

Proton and Antiproton are different types so something Antiproton will buff proton and visa versa.
Polaron Consoles and the 2 piece JH set will buff the Polaron damage of the weapons but the proc won't be buffed.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
Thanks for the responses but what it is unclear to me is that the Voth Rep wpns are Polaron Damage with a proton proc, the New consoles say that they affect proton weapons so I assume that they do affect the Voth rep weapons being that they are called Protonic Polarons, if im making sense:)
Protonic Polaron weapons deal polaron damage, so their base damage will not receive benefits from anything that buffs proton damage. However, their bonus damage will get a boost since it deals proton damage.

I get that but the Console specifically says it will adds 13% to Proton weapons it doesn't say it buffs proton damage it says proton WEAPONS, so being the rep wpns are Protonic does this mean that the console buffs the wpn, hopefully that explains my confusion or maybe im just really dense lol , either way I do appreciate the insight.

It buffs the proc on the Protonic Polaron weapons, or at least it did on Tribble. Problem was, when you're weapon is doing a thousand each tick, and the proc is only doing 130 and then the bonus is 15, it's really not worth it.
Numbers may be a bit off, but you get the point. The percentage it upgrades really isn't all that noticable, but it does indeed buff the procs.

Cryptic is not always consistent on their wording. Proton Damage, Proton weapon in terms of game effect these are equal. Therefore it buffs the various proton procs that people have mentioned and the experimental proton weapon From the Protonic Arsenal set.

But i like (assuming) most people are not going to change almost their entire build to buff damage that only comes off a proc....
I am Il Shadow and i approve these Shennanigans!
