Please Make The Jem'Hadar Attack Ship Hanger Pet Account Unlock

tiberiusdangertiberiusdanger Member Posts: 21 Arc User
So I have the Jem'Hadar Attack ship on a tac, and I want to put an engineer in the Dreadnought, but if I do that I cannot get the attack ship pets. If they were account unlock then the character who had the Attack ship could buy they pets and everyone would be happy.

    JHAS account unlockable ... :D

I know that's not what you mean just joking. Relax Cryptic ... we aren't taking away the kool aid.

All that would change is that you would mark the attack ship pets as account bind on pick up instead of character. You would still need to own an attack ship to buy them and you could still only equip them on the dreadnaught, but this way you could chose which character flew which ship and you wouldn't be essentially relegating the rarest ship in the game to someone's ship selection window because they only got it for the pets.

i will tell you straight up, the reason why this stuff is character unlock only is to make you spend more money and time on the game finding and refining dilthium. it wouldn't be really good business giving jhas an account wide unlock, besides i suspect CBS would veto the idea anyways.

They cannot do that, many players have spend a lot to get the Jem'Hadar Attack ship on several toons to unlock the attack ship hanger ships.

How do you suggest others will be compensated for having had to spend so much to get those pets on multiple toons?

Doesn't matter. I have made C-Store purchases in the past only to see Cryptic give them away later.

Or Veteran Rewards were originally based on how long the LTS account was active, and not just buying LTS and getting the full rewards automatically no matter how long you've actually been playing.

The price of being an early adopter is never compensated. The first people who spent thousands of dollars on VHS players back in the day did not get a rebate when they were suddenly $50. Giving the environmental suit away as a vet reward did not suddenly mean everyone who was now eligible to get it for free received a refund. Improvements should never be held back simply because someone purchased it before it was improved. We didn't stop making iPhone because everyone who bought the first gen would be upset when gen 2 came about.

And to clarify I am not talking about making the actual ship an account wide unlock. I'm not even talking about making the attack ship pet available if you don't have the actual ship, all I am saying is that if you have an attack ship you should be able to buy the pet and put it in your account bank so that any other character who has the one specific carrier that it works on (which you also have to buy) can use it. I don't think it is asking too much.

I think they would actually see a spike in sales if they did this. If someone wants to fly the dreadnaught but they don't want to sink the 400 million energy credits into buying the attack ship so it can gather dust it may be enough to discourage them from buying the carrier, they might be willing to buy it if another character could actually fly the attack ship.

Lastly, if they were willing to spend that much time/effort/money/whatever to do that then they obviously felt it was worth the effort. That's how markets work. They were already compensated because they got the item they wanted at a price they were willing to pay. If there is a demand to lower that price to a point where more people are willing to pay it, it would be foolish not to do so if the end result meant more profit.
