Just ran Storming The Spire, no commendation?

So, I thought Storming The Spire was supposed to give a commendation if it was the first thing you ran, but I didn't get one.

I know the dailies in the Sphere give them but I don't want to do them, they're tedious.

So how do I get my commendation from these group events instead?

    Didn't get one from The Breach either. The Dailies are very easy though.

    Okay, so I ran the Allied Zone daily instead. Tedious FedEx bollocks :/

    But I did get my commendation, so it does seem to be a bug with the events.

    I ran these things, and got NO commendation:

    - Contested Zone Daily
    - The Breach (Normal)
    - Storming the Spire (Normal)

    I finally did Allied Zone Daily and got my commendation, like the OP. Is the Allied Zone Daily the ONLY thing correctly granting a commendation at this point? If so, that really sucks. The whole point is we should play what we want, get the commendation, and be good to go for the day.

    I got my commendation from the spire elite

    I don't think the normals are supposed to give commendations.
    Men are not punished for their sins, but by them.

    Fair enough, I thought that might be the case. Still doesn't explain the Contested Zone Daily though.

    As I understand it from the patch notes: "This asset is earned by completing your first daily mission each day in the Solanae Dyson Sphere."

    So I went and completed the daily mission "Contested Zone" given by Commander Kaol, and did not receive the Dyson Joint Command Commendation asset.

    Well, not quite, unless they said this and then decided not to implement it at the last minute;
    This event rewards Dyson Sphere Marks based off the percentage of friendly troops on the Spire at the end of the event, how many Voth shuttles were stopped, and if the Voth dreadnaught was destroyed. If it's the first Dyson Sphere-themed event you've completed for the day, you will also be rewarded with a Commendation that can be used to start the large Dyson Joint Command Reputation project.

    I have also been running Storming The Spire and my Commendations have not been rewarded once.

    I ran Storming the Spire once on normal difficulty, and I got two commendations...
    Perhaps I got one of yours?

    Okay, so far today I have run Storming The Spire three times, on three different characters;

    Fed Sci - Did receive Commendation
    Fed-Allied Rom Eng - Did not receive Commendation
    KDF Eng - Did not receive Commendation

    Same, did Elite on Fed-Rom no commendation.

    I ran Storming the Spire on normal once, got no commendation.
    I then did it again, but on elite, and that gave me a commendation.
    This was on my Fed-Rom.
    Joined in March, 2011. Lifer since December, 2011.

    Fed-Sci, Breach elite = commendation.
    Fed-Eng, Breach elite = no commendation.
    KDF-Tac, Spire elite = commendation

    I've had the same problem. Storming Spire (elite) yesterday gave me a commednation. Today, normal and Breach normal gave nothing (its been 28hrs since I got the first commendation).
    Ran some of the missions in the contest zone and got nothing.

    The Contested Zone daily does not reward a commendation.

    Played in the sphere on ground yesterday, in space this morning before patch, and ran a Spire on normal. Nothing.
