Nimbus Pirate Distress Call

Is the Nimbus Pirate Distress Call reusable like the Freighter codes or is it consumed on use?
A Trill, a Gorn, a Jem'Hadar, Bejoran and a Voth walk into a bar, and the Bartender asks "What is this a Joke?"
"Nope, just my away team" the trill replies before ordering a round for the bar.

    reusable! Its great in a tight spot. They warp in and heal !

    Not only that, they have an escort, a science and a healer in the group, so as long as they are there you have great support all around.

    It has a 15 minute Cooldown timer but you can use it any time it is cooled down.

    Another question. I suppose you have to put it into the equipment slot or does it work like the call freighter item. That works while you just have it in your inventory.

    The Nimbus Distress call often auto installs itself often on one of my action bars.

    It works from your inventory.

    I'm not sure I quite understand how it is a device slot works from your inventory bag, but whatev. Too bad for those equipping it thinking it needs to be in a device slot to use.

    I think it is because it works in the same way as the device we can use to call the multipurpose ship, just on a much shorter cooldown.

    how are you supposed to put it in the bar at the bottom to use anyway because every time i try to put something there it just returns to my inventory

    You have to press the 'P' key to open your powers menu - while in space since it's a space power - make sure the box for 'lock tray' is unticked, find the Nimbus Pirate Distress Call in the powers menu, drag it from the powers menu to the tray.

    It works like the Comm Code for Sector Space.

    You do not need to slot it into a Device Slot on you ship to use.

    However, if you have a device slot available, slotting it allows you to add it to your Ship Hot Bars and quickly call them as needed instead of having to open up your inventory window, locate the icon (if you have a packed inventory) and then call from there.

    You don't have to put it in a device slot or open your inventory to use it. Just keep it in the inventory, then go to the powers menu and drag it to the hot tray, that's all it takes. Uncheck The lock tray button if its marked otherwise it wont allow you to drag from it.

    yea it works now after the server maintenance

    It is a great thing to have in your device slots. It gets you out of a tough spot when you are getting torn up. Great to use in the Infected Elite, and the new Voth missions. Highly recommend getting it and keeping it.
