Dyson Joint Command Reputation system is a test for a new kind of Rep system that will be based more on playing than on grinding - no more need for metric butt-loads of commodities, shield charges, power packs, large hypos and major regenerators.
You take part in missions, DOff assignments, PvE events and the new ground 'Take and Hold' Battlezone to earn Dyson Marks.
Dyson Marks can be used in the 'minor' Rep project along with EC and expertise to get a small amount of DJC Rep - smaller than other reps, but with just a one-hour timer instead of twenty.
The first daily you complete each day in the Sphere also awards a 'Dyson Joint Command Commendation', the 'major' rep project requires one and just one of these each day for a whopping 2500 reputation points. If you can't get on each day, no problem, there's an additional project where you can exchange 350 Dyson Marks for 5 Commendations to use for the 'major' project.
No more projects to unlock store items, they unlock automatically with each tier of reputation and additionally you get an item from a tier you've already unlocked (or occasionally the next tier) every time you start a rep project.
If it proves popular, they might be redoing the New-Rom, Nukara and Omega reps like this.
Now, the fun part;
Upon getting any character to Tier V in any of the four rep systems, you can start a project to 'Sponsor Upcoming Officer'. What this does is when it's complete it gives you a sponsorship token that you can transfer - via your account bank - to another of your characters and it doubles for life the amount of Rep that character earns in that system. It's supposed to make running rep easier for players with multiple characters.
Say Drake maxes out his New-Rom rep and does the token project; I can then put that New-Rom Token in my account bank and take it out with Ras'lor and use it. Now instead of 800 and 2000 rep per project, Ras'lor is earning 1600 and 4000 rep per project in the New-Rom system, but still just the base amounts in the other three.

Said NO to Arc. Gets punished by not being given a free outfit, free lobi, and free shuttle. Now forced to use Arc's site when trying to get to STO site. Still not rewards for beta testing the Arc website by force. Bravo Cryptic.
I know I bought the Account Bank when Lobi went Account-Bound.
Oh, and eh, thank Branflakes; I actually got all that from watching the Season 8 Preview Livecast a couple times.
