Hangar pet; Orin Slavers

Are they usable by federation, if so why cant i equip them?

FYI i am a:

Federation human,
Vice Admiral,
Tactical Officer,
Flying the obelisk ship,

    No. All but a few fighters (such as those from reputations) are restricted by faction, a number even by ship class.

    No as in, no they can not be used or No as in, no the can be used by everyone?

    Orion Slavers are a KDF hangar pet.

    This information is not included in the tooltip on the pet itself.

    As a Fed aligned player, you cannot use the Orion Slavers on any of your ships.
