  It's nothing a player can fix, unfortunately.
  This bug has been there on and off for some players.
  Even though I've been lucky enough to never run into it myself I know a friend of mine has it 100% of the time.

  In addition to disappearing comet fragments I lose all weapons after first encounter with the enemies. Hopeless.

  Same issue fragments disappeared couldn't finish it the guns looked good too

  Maybe try teaming with someone? If they can get the fragments to spawn you can finish the mission.

  Been over a year, and the bug still appears to exist, so... they'll just have to fix it and get over it.
