I don't mean just board with your small away team. I've got a carrier with 3000 people, and I manage to dock/beam wave after wave of my men onto that Defiant with 50 crew members and never manage to achieve victory that way.
Wouldn't such a game mode be interesting? Perhaps give larger cruisers an alternate way of fighting smaller escorts or something where your total crew number would actually be an advantage.
The thing is, how would that work in certain maps? Like STF or PvP maps? Remember: our ships and our captain characters can't exist at the same time.
As it stands, you'll probably have to content yourself with using the Boarding Party BOff powers.

Unfortunately even those suck for larger vessels a lot of the time, simply because for SOME reason larger ships crew die off at an alarming rate, while the smaller crew on smaller ships seem unkillable.

The ship vendor says it best: "Escorts have such powerful weaponry, their crew is hardly ever challenged".
If they were to do something like this (like letting you use your crew to take out someone else's crew) it would have to be done by shuttles as red alert creates an anti beam field around the ship. And if you're crazy enough to send your entire crew in a few shuttles after an escort with cannon and torp spread, you're crazy enough to loose that crew in a single cannon round.
With that being said, crew should effect the ship's efficiency and effectiveness; such as, if you have 0 crew left, you should be dead in the water.
Said NO to Arc. Gets punished by not being given a free outfit, free lobi, and free shuttle. Now forced to use Arc's site when trying to get to STO site. Still not rewards for beta testing the Arc website by force. Bravo Cryptic.
It sounds cool for RP or specific mission plots, but I'm not too hip on sending my crew to their deaths for no reason. I get that already with one direct hit from a torpedo with my shields at half. Well, that or Boarding Party (do people actually use this?).
What would be better is the idea where we design our interiors, apply them to the appropriate ship in our hanger and it gets used in missions that call for our ship's interior.
