I seem to have hit a plateau (is that how you spell it?) anyway. I have access to all the best gear. I have 5 XII VR Tac consoles on every energy type, sets of all the hybrid weapon types, Phased Tetryon, Polorised disruptor, Elachi, Nukara, etc. Elite fleet space gear, XII Dil mine gear on and on. But I just can seem to get the big damage numbers that I see some getting. As mentioned in another thread there are players that can solo ISE with 10 min left on the timer. Kill Cubes in Cure without having to take out the Nanite Gen's or the Transformers in ISE without having to blow up the Gens also. So it must be my build or skill spec's right?
so here is my build and I have my skill tree from memory, I know I have Flow cap at 6 and particle Gen at 6 and energy weapon skills maxed and power transfer at 6, and Acc at 6, and high defence.

I also use the Romulan Boffs from the Embassy that boost crit as my Tac officers.
My doffs are all purple and I use 3 Techs and Marion and the Romulan Doff that adds Acc with TT.
If you guys see an area for improvement let me know. Just can't figure out what these guys are doing. Granted I'm not a slacker at all but seem to not be able to get over the hump. Also I can use a different ship if needed. I have every lockbox and Fleet ship and C-store ship in the game.
I have a Razor Naga mouse that has the number buttons on it and have keybinded tray 5 to Offence and tray 6 to defence and have them both on a hot button on the mouse.

Obviously, if you really must wring more Dakka out of it, it's time to hang up the Excelsior and move up to the Avenger, which trades that redundant third Engi for a Tac Ensign...most likely equally redundant, but at least you can seat another Battle Hobo in it.

I know that they are romulan but I have seen Klingon and Feds to this as well.
You know the Fleet Starbase defence mission on the final wave where the Siege Dreadnought's come. They are grouped in with about 5 other ships when they arrive. I have seen Feds in an Fleet Excelsiors kill all of them with FAW builds in under 60 seconds.
I can do it but it would take me about 3 or 4 min to kill all of them. I have has success with this build:
http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=plasmabeast_0
it uses 4 Embassy %9 Plasma boosting particle gens to push the base plasma damage and DOT over the top. It is a mean build but still not to "leet" levels. I guess these guys keep thier tricks a secret.
Do I need to ditch the ACC weapons and get the CRTD/CRTH weapons, Something like the %70 crit severity beams? I have wondered if loading out with the Crit boosting Boffs and consoles is giving me a high rate already I should take advantage of it and use the weapons that will make all thoes Crits I am getting hurt more.
Drop the Neutronium for an EPS console. Switch EPtS3 for EPtW3; TSS2 for TBR2.
Remember those Scimitars are actually Escorts, not cruisers, with 5 Tactical Consoles and a CDR Tactical Boff. You're not going to be able to do as much damage as them.
1. You have I console space left where your armor is. If you put a bioneural console you can further increase your crit.
2. You can try the 2 piece omega set for shield penetration. (This has not shown a ton of additional dps so may not be worth trying)
3. You can try the Romulan Engine that gives 26% increase on Attack patterns.
4. More aggressive piloting. Get right up next to the bad guys so that you are not losing dos to distance. (I know this one sounds dumb but it helps.)
I'm on my phone, so struggle to edit quotes, but point 3 is wrong. The engines add 26 points to your attack patterns skill.
Which, for me with 9 in attack patterns, increases APB by an extra 4 odd points of resistance removal.
