JH Elite Attack ships or Elite Scorpion Fighters

Hi all

Shortest possible question for my Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier:

Elite Jem'Hadar Attack Ships or Elite Scorpion Fighters?

(or is there something better I don't know yet?)

Thank you! :)

I've run Elite Scorps, Elite Tholian fighters, Advanced Jemmy fighters, Advanced Danubes and Delta Fliers, all to good effect on a Jemmy Dread. I'd say the same probably of the JHAS frigates, 'cept for the danged requirement for the JHAS itself to acquire them, (and at the current exchange prices, forget it, rant rant,) so can't tell you about those, though from experience with Advanced Fer'jai and B'roth BoP frigates, the performance is probably about the same for the JHAS frigates. (Just think larger versions of Jemmy fighters, that STF gates will still chew up anyway... hope you got a purple Flight Deck Officer doff setup... Wing Commander trait too to help out some.)

    Short and simple:

If you can also have a use for the JHAS as a ship in its own right (IE, you intend to fly it as well as your Dread), then go for the Frigates.

If you won't end up using the JHAS (or can't for that matter) then just stick with the Elite Scorps or even the JH Fighters.

The Attack Ship pets are awesome and probably the best pets in the game. I mean, they can last through entire ESTF's after all (I've even seen them take on about 25% of a gate). Combine their tankyness with their more than great DPS as well as their shield strip and decloak potential (Antiproton Sweep) as well as their Kamikaze nature (you'll never see something more awesome than 4 JHAS's ramming into the same target) and you get absolutely epic pets that will literally go down fighting.

    Thank you both very much!

Seems like I'm staying with my Elite Jem'Hadar Attack Ships. :D
At least as long as I use the JH Dreadnought. :)

Just a little add on here. I have been running elite jemmy's on my dreadnaught carrier, and I have found the to beast mode. I tried looking at elite scorpions, and they just weren't doing it for me. If you have the attack ship, go for the jemmy's, and if you don't, get it if you want, but otherwise, scorpions do okay.

Great, thanks! Luckily I have the attack ship and the dreadnought, so I'll use the attack ships as hangar pet. :)

No idea but from the chatter in dorfjorbs someone had tested a lot of pets.

Generally elite is always better than advanced anything which is better than normal.

Mesh weavers > JHAS pets > Scorps > most other pets for damage. That's for damage but back then the drone ships weren't out I don't think.

So yeah if you have the JHAS and the dread then get the exclusive pets. If you have the dead and not the attack ship....skip it, elite scorpions aren't quite as good but it's not worth the price tag for the performance increase.

As for numbers can only share what I've seen of my mesh weavers and that's about 6-7k dps from the 4 of them.

It is through repetition that we learn our weakness.
A master with a stone is better than a novice with a sword.

Has damage got out of control?
This is the last thing I will post.

You need to qualify your pet DPS by enemy type. Elite scorpions are death incarnate in elite STF...because you're fighting lots of big things that are either slow moving or stationary and cant run away from the torpedo spam. Mesh weavers are going to do a lot better in, say, a fleet mission where their much stronger energy weapons and multi-hit capability means they can actually help against the hordes of shielded targets.

Different pets do better in different scenarios.
