I like his updated appearance. The resemblance to Michael Dorn is uncanny, I'm glad to see they were given permission to use his likeness.

I won't join the conspiracy group, but I will say it would be rather cool to have Mr. Dorn reprise his role for STO.

Who cares if I have to wear a tinfoil hat, I'm all but certain that Dorn is coming! :P

(I do wish Jennifer Hale voiced the KDF Bortas flagship captain sometimes... And with Dorn around, I wonder if we get some hintnudges at that tricolored franchise?)

Thanks for Harajuku. Now let's get a real "Magical Girl" costume!

It's quite possible. Dorn has done voice work in Saints Row 2. So it's not likely he would object to the opportunity.:D

Worf is old because he rarely, if ever loses in physical combat.

What? You even watch the show? He got his butt kicked all the time.
    :D
My Romulan Liberated Borg character made it to Level 30 and beat the (old) Defense of New Romulus with the skill point bug. :D

I think the problem behind the Klingon lifespan debate is actually a slightly different one: the old FASA materials claimed Klingons had a much shorter lifespan than humans.
60 being about the maximum on average and the human-klingon "fusions" (FASA's explanation for the forehead problem) getting a few more years, so it was based on genetics and not combat attrition.
And since people don't tend to check where certain information comes from they just grab stuff they found somewhere written by someone and run with it.

however TNG states that K'empec lead the klingon high council for more then a century and tv/films trumps all other sources.

    That's my point.
People grab some stuff from FASA that's outdated and run with it, like with the supposed short lifesapn.

Well, nice to see Worf looks like himself again. And with regards to the FASA stuff, I think their Romulan sourcebooks were great. At the time, they had very little to go by with regards to material to refer to, yet were able to make a couple of nice books for Romulan fans like myself. IMO, they are faaaar better than Diane Duane's hack job, fanfics.

Anybody have Before & After pics?

Yeah, really. To the OP... don't just say "Ain't it different?" Post a screenshot to go with it!

I like the new look, he looks less frazzled/crazy old man now. With the old model, if the NPC didn't have the name "Worf" above his head, you'd never guess that was who it was supposed to be.

And speaking of the main characters from the shows... did any of them have a happy life after the shows/movies ended? The one's I can think of seem they got the short end of the stick in the Path to 2409.
Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

    If nothing else.

The changes to Worf, prove that the Klingon Empire has cured Baldness.

I dont think the Federation or Romulans can say the same...

The empire may not have the ships nor the fancy smancy other techno-gizmos....but they have beaten the other groups out with superior hair technology.

    >_>

Little did any of you realize....Paul Mitchell and Vidal Sassoon have been backing the empire this whole time.

Next time you go to your local Super Cuts, just take a look inthat closet in back....that's where they keep the Batleths.

Power without Perception is Spiritually useless and therefore of no true value.

[Conspiracy]I'm thinking this means that cryptic are able to use his likeness now, perhaps paving the way for possible voice work?[/Conspiracy]

That would be nice, but after hearing his responses in Philly earlier this year, I'm not hopeful.
"No they haven't contacted me, but would I? Yes! For ONE MILLION DOLLARS! And now I *won't* be contacted... next question!"

But hey, he may have changed his mind after Denise Crosby had such a good time.

typical greed from the actors who think they are better, he has a chance to put a voice to a character we all love and he spits that little spiller out, only 2 words i have for dorn and the 2nd word is "you", think we can all guess the first word for him..

If I recall correctly, Geordi did alright. I don't think Riker and Troi are mentioned at all. Crusher got the Pasteur, if I recall - which may be OK for her if she likes command, but it's abysmal for Picard/Crusher fans. And she might not still have the ship, I think there were only a few references to it.

Data apparently lost the Ent-E, but since there are some supplemental sources for STO that claim he talked to Captain Shon about commanding the Ent-F, he may have done OK all things considered. Fortunately for him Picard might be a little bit senile just now so he might not have heard his ship got lost by his robot. That said, you'd have to ask someone else for the details.

Actually, from the way the quote is explained, it sounds like a joke. I wouldn't rule out his presence in the future.

You guys must be real fun at comedy clubs...

Dorn also appers in Fallout 2 (as two charactors, one of which is the final boss) and Fallout: New Vegas (a reprise of the fallout 2 non-boss charactor)
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

Well didn't dstahl say last year that Michael Dorn was his top voice acting choice if he could get anyone?

I'd love to have him do some work for STO, not only do klingons need the love but he's got a great voice and Worf's in a ton of places already.

Hopefully he was joking about the money thing...

Dorn loves playing Worf and I'm sure he'd love to play Worf in STO... if the money were right. And that's probably the sticking point.

Yes, how dare an actor make a joke about getting paid for a job.
