Market corner on lockbox traits

I recently noticed a large increase in the prices of lockbox traits on the Exchange. There was jump in price yesterday and another jump today. Below I list the current prices of the lockbox traits along with the average prices from about a week ago. Note that the old prices are from memory and may not be completely accurate. If only the current price is listed, then that means I don't know what the old price was. Also, the numbers below have been rounded down.

Helmsman: increased from 30,000,000 to 60,000,000
Inspirational Leader: increased from 17,000,000 to 29,000,000
Precise: current price 3,000,000
Wing Commander: increased from 4,000,000 to 8,700,000
Conduit: current price 1,000,000
Disassembler: current price 1,000,000
Firearms Specialist: increased from 400,000 to 5,000,000
Regenerative Tissue: increased from 400,000 to 1,600,000

My guess is that someone bought up most of the lockbox traits in the last two days in an attempt to corner the market.

    Or you could just wait for prices to drop again.

    I bought leader and helms for a combined 41 million a week or so ago, so yes, the prices have definitely increased a lot.

    Not surprised, there are people who play the market and buy cheap and then resell them at a premium. You see this quite often with the Lore Datachips.

    In large quantities, this does cause further inflation of the economy. Not through the sell of items, but by encouraging players to work harder to earn EC. They sell at high prices and then sell the EC itself at their goldfarming sites.

    I wish they would limit what you purchase in some way to prevent this from happening.

    This is the biggest problem with uncontrolled markets. It happens in real life too.

    Not surprised... new season right around the corner... Prices always go up in prep for new/returning players... spike at release, then settle back down.

    The OP will need to check Wing Commander again because it's being listed for around 15-20 Million just this past evening.

    Wing Commander is probablly just going up in price because of the new free Carrier coming out next week.

    If anything I only see the price going up because of how good this trait is for carriers.

    I think I purchased Inspirational Leader and Helmsman for approximately 14mil each. I think I passed on Fire Arms Specialist since I barely run ground, but I might buy it at some future date if I don't already have it.
