Ancient Aliens - Cherons

The advanced race knowns as the Cherons originated on a class M planet in the 83 Leonis system. A people plagued by war they had experienced a tumultuous history. A minority which developed into an oppressed working class had, over the years, become increasingly educated and organized. They started with demonstrations which led to increased violence from the establishment. As succession took hold, both sides began an arms race. Though they had developed interstellar travel they had yet to break the warp barrier, instead traveling the stars in suspended animation. As war escalated, both sides unleashed weapons of great destruction rendering the planet uninhabitable. Travelers returned from their voyages to discover they no longer had a home. The few who remained became drifters and vagrants throughout the quadrant. Skilled warriors and trackers, many individuals were hired as bounty hunters by the political powers of this era such as the Rigellians and the Gorn. It is unclear whether this species survived the following millennia. Atleast two known individuals made contact with Starfleet in 2268. It is plausible others could still be adrift in deep space waiting to be awakened once again.
