Gracias Kerrat

Yesterday the event in Kerrat was fun, and I'd like to thank Brandon to make a PVP official event, and many friends from all the fleets that make their presence there, to make clear as a community our common interest in PVP.

Oh well, also in a time when there are voices talking about translating STO into other languages appart from English, French and German (they are talking about Portugues and Turkish  ) the massive presence of several Spanish fleets filling several Kerrat instances yesterday, was also a little touch for attention ;)

Remember there's an entire continent full of Star Trek fans and -of course- Star Trek Online players that speak Spanish.

For some around: the continent is South America. I make this clear because someone on the STO Facebook account tell me that Spain is not a continent. I can't believe there's people on this world that thinks Spain is the only country that speaks Spanish. Even Africa has a country with Spanish as official language! (Equatorial Guinea, for those who don't know).

Even the United States has a massive Spanish speaking inhabitants! :)

Bah. I got there late. Zone population didn't appear any different than normal.

I assumed everyone was having a wonderful time in another instance.

Still... Ker'rat is almost always a fun time.

Maybe next time. Hope there is a next time B-Flakes.

The main instance for the Spanish speaking fleets was #9 but Brandon keeps changing, so I suppose he took a wider view of the event.

It was a blast. And we even tried to 'blast' Brandon. But with his 'dev powers' ;) he was untouchable.

It was a nice event! Thank you Brandon for taking the time to make it happen.

Players from all the Spanish fleet were presents (feds and kling), also some of the Spanish Bootcamp students were there celebrating their graduations.
Also, it was a good opportunity to show the language flag so maybe is taking in to a consideration for future translations.

    Sorry for bad English.

It was a great experience. Usually we have less opponents in Kerrat, but yesterday was full! We got ready and we definitely put on a fight. We love to see this kind of events, we need a lot more of PVP in a great scale, because it?s a game changer. The interaction and the knowledge that you get from this events is amazing.

There are a lot of languages in this game. Yesterday, when one of the captains spoke in Spanish in one of the Zone channels and someone complained about not using English and telling him some racial slurs, o lot of people answered speaking with their mother languages! I saw German, French, Portuguese, I believe and a couple more I didn?t get, but the point is that we, as gamers and more, as participants in the Star Trek universe, shall embrace the cultural diversity and the spirit of understanding and the search for knowledge.

This is all Star Trek is about. It?s the vision of Gene, and i believe there is the potential for that in this game.

Let?s work together, embrace and recognize the people from around the word and the use of different languages and the joy of creating a game that goes beyond the fight with the machine. PVP is the real fun, and i hope the developers expand it.

Oh, how much i dream about a fleet starbase siege, jejeje.
