[Idea] Saucer/Chevron Separation Addition

Just something I thought of a while after the release of LoR (Specifically the Haakona Warbird).

Basically, what if you were able to choose whether to control the Saucer/Chevron or the stardrive section? Similar to the MVAE and the Haakona, where as one can fly any of the separated parts. Perhaps the Saucer/Chevron could have a more science-focused ability alteration, versus the tactical slant of the current flyable section.

I mean, what if your captain doesn't want to leave the main bridge (and captain's chair) when separating? :P

Joking aside, what do you think?

    my understanding was there was an intentional decision to limit this to the MVAE (this was before LOR so no Haakona yet), it makes the MVAE more unique. Also, the Saucer/Chevron has much less weaponry then the MVAE sections.

    but that falls into the realm of science mode too. It is an interesting thought, I would love to see carrier commands at least for it though.
