Since the new KDF ship is half done, any chance we know what one it is?

I just want to know basic things,

What Type? (Crusier, Battle Crusier, BoP, Destroyer, Heavy Destroyer, Escort, SCIENCE SHIP, Shuttle (X_X), etc.

What LVL? (Warrior, Lt., Lt. Commander, Commander, Captian, Birdge. General, General

Name?

etc?

    A Negh'var is what I heard. Other than that I know nothing , absolutely nothing...

    All of the rumors point toward a battlecruiser, probably a Negh'var.

    At this point, I'm ready for any new T5 ship.
    Current ship/builds:
    KDF Tac: Bortasqu' Tactical
    Fed Tac: Fleet Gal-X

    Keep those big guns a-thunderin'

    Until we actually see a screenshot or a console leak...I'm going to say it's the Vaporware Mega-Battlecruiser.

    I thought there were two new KDF ships in the works. A new battlecruiser was one of them, and the Negh'Var Upgrade was the other. I wasn't under the impression they were the same ship. Are they?

    We don't really know what we're gonna get, we're kinda forced to speculate based on vague statements or old announcements. We're fairly certain on one C-store ship, but we don't know exactly what it is (could be a Negh'var, could be something else), and that ship was delayed for idiotic reasons.

    There is technically another ship coming out with Season 8, the Fleet Kar'fi. It's tied to the Voth rep rather than being tied to the Starbase like every other Fleet ship. We haven't been given any good reasons for this, but we've speculated a few of our own. Probably Cryptic trying to string along the KDF community.

    I'm expecting the new Negh'var will be more of a true battlecruiser build like the Torkaht and Avenger.

    And I very much expect it to be named the VoD'leh, to go with the name that was given to the Negh'var seen in All Good Things. And since Cryptic used that name for the second Vo'Quv skin and because they had no qualms about renaming the Avenger....well guess what, they can rename that Vo'Quv skin and properly give it to the Negh'var varient like it supposed to have been i the first place!

    The Fleet Kar'fi (as far as I'm concerned) isn't another ship. :P It's just an upgrade of an old one.

    I was under the impression there were two new designs underway. The new Negh'var being one of them. As the rumour is a battlecruiser I'd think something smaller than a Negh'var. Still, I guess time will tell.

    well, a good Neg upgrade would give the KDF a proper heavy cruiser. Something that can wade into the middle of a fire fight and laugh at your enemies' puny attempts to destroy you!

    A new battle cruiser would probably be a bit like a giant BoP.

    They have been working on that negvar for two years.
    Prepare for it to be worth two years worth of work.
    Perfect and no problems.

    I think it will be K'Vort. Big brother of B'rel. 300-400m, 5for weapons, Battle Cruiser or Destroyer class.

    I hope that it's the K'vort. One thing is certain though, if its a c store neghvar, everyone will be disappointed. It will have a gimmick console, give a discount on the fleet version, and have the same stats as the free version with a chance of uni ensign. If they give us this no one will buy it and they will just use it as another excuse to not give us anything.

    Speak for yourself. I for one would be delighted to have a Negh'var refit, and it could easily be like the Regent. In which case, they would update the Fleet Negh'var accordingly.

    Oh, I forgot, it also must be made out of GPL, for all the time it has been in dry-dock....

    I've always said I would buy a K'Vort with identical stats to the Chel Grett but with cloak instead of special console...

    I don't know what the new ship is but Geko just stated in the new podcast that Cryptic has a new ship artist starting next week to help speed-up the process of getting waited-for ships out quicker. The Voth ships are slowing things down as one of them is HUUUUUUGE! :)
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    I'll believe it when I see Cryptic not chronically delaying things to make them "shinier".

    Another new ship artist you say? If true, perhaps they could go back and redo some of the older designs whilst they're at it.

    I'm pretty sure deliberately choosing not to develop story for 1/2 of the Romulan and Klingon leveling progression was a bigger cop out.
