Klingon Bust Armour (Female)

I'd like to first direct everyone to this image: http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/162/sarahhelmet.jpg. It clearly shows cleavage. Yet with no other attire or costume does this appear. Even with the open top uniforms, female characters apparently have no cleavage. Same goes for the Orion Females.

Whilst it doesn't make any difference to gameplay, it is a valid observation and I'd like to ask why...

The Be'ves HG chestpiece was removed in S7 and is no longer available for unknown reasons. It used to be available in S6, but was removed when things were changed to Rep.

First they want ships like ours, then they want our consoles and now they want our cleavage!!! I must make a rage post in response to this, rawr!! :D

As much as I miss it, I'm kinda glad they took it out, the texture on the bust didn't look that great. Was funny on a Ferasan though, made them look like they shaved their chests.

Heh, probably for the obvious reason (although they didn't have a problem showing cleavage here): http://sto.perfectworld.com/news/?p=769511

I disagree with the posters who don't like the bust window. If you don't like it, don't show it. I have been working very hard in pugs to get the achievements for that costume piece and now I find out that I cant have it. I have visited the NPC on DS9 daily to give me inspiration to keep pugging and working for the outfit. The window fits in nicely with the overall Klingon "look" and I wish I could have it. :(

Well, the bust window is ridiculous, what point an armor has, if it reveals that part.. armor should be protective, not revealing.

Alas, as long as you are not forced to use it, and have options for normal armors, I'd say let these guys have it. As I said in my own topic, as long as you have a choice, it's better to have more than less customization options.

I think it would suck to get shot in the chest in that thing

And don't the mirror universe outfits show something off?

Although it looks ridiculous, the Klingon bust window is canon. The Duras sisters for example always had those on their uniforms (?).

Furthermore this costume option has not been entirely removed. My female Klingon had the window enabled pre season 7 and it is still visible on her. It just can't be accessed at the moment when you are trying to create a new costume. As always though when it comes to KDF, Cryptic is not exactly eager to fix this bug.

yeah, this game has... issues with things that display any part of the torso. I remember the issue with the cropped winter jackets and how they'd make Caitians look shaved, and hide the spots on Trills.

It is odd that we don't have B'Etor's style of outfit for KDF. Even Klaa had an open top! Oh and Vixis too...

They're aware of the bug, and Borticus recently posted that they're working to resolve all the current issues with Omega Rep costume unlocks, specifically including the Be'ves "bust window" chest piece.

Obviously, the less armor a woman wears, the higher their AC. This is why Orion Females have the highest AC in the game.

I was going to buy the open chest uniforms for my female tactical Federation character. However once I saw there was no cleavage showing. I decided not to waste my $ / zen on it. Cause I was going for the look on the Vulcan in her outfit used on the wallpaper. http://sto.perfectworld.com/news/?p=769511

I agree it should be fixed. Many times they show cleavage on the shows. For the ones who don't won't it. Well there is many other outfits to choose that don't show it. Even on WoW they showed cleavage on theirs. I chose many outfits to show it. Or some that didn't, depending on the character I was using. To better match their "attitudes".

Honestly, I personally don't care, if they show the cleavage, as long as they offer option for those, who do not want that ridiculous option. More choices is always better, so have open cleavage, but also, have normal armor, which protects available, then all is nice and okay. :)

Yes of course there is always options. Look at the Romulan shirt. They are matched well with the uniform in different styles and what color you want. So they can easily do that as well. To offer an "under shirt". So you still get your uniform with a low cut. And can hide the cleavage.
