MK XI vs XII fleet consoles: Worth it?

Short and sweet: The difference between the Mk XI/XII fleet neutroniums seem to be quite small for double the cost. Am I doinitwrong? Are they 'worth' the double cost, or are they more for truly maxing-out your ship? 'cuz I could get a trio of the XI's right now but it'd take a chunk of grinding to get the same quantity of XIIs!

If you PvP, then yes, get Mk XII. Otherwise, it's fine to get Mk XI.

Nope, you will gain 2-3% damage. Everyone decent in pvp has resistance up the w/e, si that 2-3% is even more pitiful.

    Nope is the answer

When did we start gaining damage from fleet Nuetroniums?

As to the OP I would still get the MK XII even if you just do PvE. But I would only get 2 of them and use a universal console where the third would be for PvE. The rep uni consoles are always good choices or a Plasmonic leech for power drain and increasing your own power is always a solid choice.

I would say you can also apply the answer to non-sleet items in certain cases; ground weapons are a perfect example of lacking; a non fleet VR mk xii rifle will only do a few points less of DP but will have FAR greater modifiers (read: anything Crit)

Depends on how much in game wealth you have

I opted for the xk xii's

but only because i tend to have a boatload of currency. most people would be fine as anything with just the xis

Generally speaking, XII white = XI green, XII green = XI blue, and XII blue = XI purple, at least when it comes to modifiers. My experience in the Exchange is that the XIs in the above "equations" tend to be cheaper than their less-rare XII counterparts.

Um... this does not apply to the OP at all? He asked about fleet neutroniums.

If you're going to spend money on anything at all, you may as well get the real thing. If you don't care, then you may as well just use cheap vendortrash junk, since you clearly don't care, and you will save a lot of money that way.

Both courses are reasonable: You can just get the filler trash for cheap-as-free and wait for the next power creep run, or you can get the real deal. Half-assing the solution is no solution at all: You've wasted your money and you're still inferior.

To steamroll pve, you only need blue to purple Mk XIs. I clocked 10k dps using 3 blue XIs.

The 30million dollar purple MkXII sellers can go TRIBBLE themselves.

Thanks for the responses so far - just to confirm, I am talking about the Fleet Neutronium engineering consoles, not anything else :D

Given me a good amount to think about!

The cost difference between the Fleet XI and the XIIs is not big enough to justify purchasing substandard junk. If you wanted substandard junk, there is no need to blow an already large chunk of minerals to get it. This is, of course, for the Fleet Consoles.

Different assessment may apply when it comes to XII Purple Tac Consoles...which are absurdly, ludicrously overpriced.
