Ancient Aliens - Medusans

The peculiar tale of the Medusans actually began over 600,000 years ago. The humanoid inhabitants of Visalayan (later designated by Federation Stellar Cartography as Medusa) had enjoyed several millennia as a type I civilization when they first started showing signs. Noticeable spikes within the electromagnetic fields manifested within a few individuals at first. Then energy readings began to climb with every passing generation until the first non corporeals emerged. Seen as messianic figures they would be the first of many.
As the Medusans achieved faster than light travel (around 150,000 years ago) their unique physiology gave them acute senses and a vast perception of space and time. Within their specialized starships they were masters of the cosmos. Encountering alien races, forging alliances, battling malevolent forces, they spread reason and benevolence throughout the quadrant. As other civilizations flourished the Medusans took on a less direct approach. They focused on influencing and guiding these younger races to not make the same mistakes they had. As a result the United Federation of Planets would share many of the principles that began with the Medusans all those years ago.
