Bridge Officer/Duty Officer Assignments Idea

granted in the game you can set the department heads, and your crews assignments on your active ship... I'm wondering if there is any idea to implementing permanent assignments to the ships like the consoles and ship equipment do, actually slotted into the ship.... no i'm not referring to making my crew be Karen S'jet permanently attached but rather than redoing my crew/and key layout setups every time i go from one ship to another, would it be possible to make the crew be assigned to one particular ship, as well as saving the key layout?

I say this because at times I run around with my friends in my Oddy, and others in my regent, and then others in an escort....

    Can't even really set department heads anymore. Ever since LoR came out, my department heads have been getting switched out for whoever's in my away team. They'll stay the way I set them through STFs... but the instant I go through a story mission? Nope, suddenly the away team are the department heads, regardless of whether they were assigned to those posts or not.

    So I don't think they could really pull that particular trick off. I'd be pleasantly surprised if they could, but... constantly having to readjust my department heads because I wanted specific officers serving each post is wearing away my faith in their capabilities. My first officer was even replaced during Hearts and Minds!
