I recently found out about the comm arrays abilities coming to all cruisers and the slight nerf tactical bridge abilities. These together along with (I'm hoping) future improvements may help to balance PvP more, to give cruisers a better role.
So I apologise Cryptic, for not giving you a chance. (and making a few posts about how you wouldn't know what a balanced MMO is if it hit you round the face). Keep doing what you are doing (and buff the Galaxy WHO SAID THAT?), and you may have a surge of posts like this, I can assume after discussing the new changes with many people. Heck, you may even get people who previously quit to play the game again. Frankly, you've proven to me that you don't only care about money, and that you do give a damn about the customers.
Well done Cryptic. You've earned my respect. Don't lose it again.
Be the Star Trek game we've wanted you to be for so many years. Make me proud. Make Gene proud.
This ability makes it seem like they are really moving to a real time MMO feel. These Comm Array abilities will no doubt make cruisers the undisputed tanks in game, where as you will still have escorts doing DPS, and it looks like they are moving towards making science not only a "caster" or "AOE" type class, but also a "healer." Hopefully this will make PVP a little more interesting, as well as make PuG's much more fun, and inevitably make STF's much more appealing.
Back on topic, it is a shame that the Dreadnought Cruiser doesn't get the turn rate comm ability, as it could do with that. But at least it's getting any powers at all. Maybe the fabled fleet version will have all 4?

Oh good grief...now I'm imagining every new cruiser from Utopia Planitia having a Vulcan playing a lyre stuck on the deflector dish.

I hear that the "Attract Fire" command broadcasts a loop recording of Captain Riker's trombone playing.
