As far as Season 8, I think that we are going to have a lot to explore and its hard for me to speculate as to what we should expect. I do hope that it is as breath taking as the art suggests, and hope that it gives me something other than STF's to do.
Now here is Jay's question from the sound room...you've obviously seen that fine lookin knew avenger class starship posted, and there have even been some speculative posts as to what kind of powers she will bring with her, what are you're guy's speculation on the new avenger class that is "coming soon, to a spacedock near you?"
Special thanks to Pug01 for all that info that he gave us. It influenced me to take a second look at my Bridge Officer setup. Finally, great show gentlemen, I really enjoyed editing it this week.

Another awesome podcast.
I'm still laughing hysterically from the "How it shoulkd have ended" spoof. LMAO @ Alice Eve.
Regarding the question of the week:
What I get from the dev blog is that we're somehow going to be catapulted across the galaxy to hit the danger zone/Dyson sphere that we all know is coming. I'd say it's also safe to guess that there will be another area similar to Battle Group Omega, where we may find the USS Calisto. More importantly however, is that it seems as if the Delta quadrant may open up a bit. Physically, on our in-game map, I can think of a very logical place to put this new area, since we already have Borg space and fluidic space represented.
However, as we move forward, I do see a couple problems with Delta Quadrant content, and I'm curious to see how Cryptic will address the canon antagonists which dominate most of Voyager's timeline.
The Malons: I really liked the Malons as a potential antagonist in STO. They have the potential for some cool space special abilities, but am I the only player (in-game) who went to the planet Malon (not too far from DS9) hoping to raid a space junkyard, only to find nothing? The planet Malon is totally in the wrong place.
The Vidiians: Definitely one of my favorite Voyager antagonists with plenty of backstory to boot....But they FOUND A CURE FOR THE PHAGE. Sorry, but no organ thievery = no more fun.
The Kazon: Tribalistic in nature...maybe still a viable antagonist, but far too whimpy to be a solid threat for today's Federation. Even the Borg didn't want to assimilate them.
The Hirogen: Well, in STO they took a wrong turn in Albuquerque and somehow ended up in Romulan space! WTF?!? There not even in the delta quadrant anymore
The Borg and Species 8472: Been There / Done That!
That leaves only one potential major antagonist:
The Krenim: Possibly the only logical choice remaining of major antagonistic species. Don't get me wrong...Year of Hell was arguably one of Voyagers best episodes, but to base almost a whole quadrant worth of gameplay on them plus the Voth...I dunno...just not enough to wet my Delta quadrant appetite.
Antagonists aside, there are some pretty cool allies/technologies/spacial anomalies which could be cool to see though.
Talaxians...we've seen a Talaxian ship...might be cool to have a Talaxian officer (BOFF/DOFF/Playable species)
Planets with a Tachyon Core (ie. Blionk of an eye)
Super-Mega-Time-Weapon ships
A Think-Tank mission
and the list goes on...
Lastly, regarding Pug and the Bridge officers:
Thank you for that information. I must have listened to the interview with Pug at least 4 times just to make sure I didn't miss anything. One of the positive things about STO is that it has such a plethora of different modifiers that even the things that used to be simple, such as Bridge Officers, need to be reviewed from time to time in order to help us spec our crew. This was extremely informative and much appreciated.
LLAP _\\//
And this is what STO needs to build upon once again, not PuGs going after loot, but teams of friends working towards a common goal, for the fun of the game.
Oh and for next week's broadcast, 1 Word - Legoprise. :P
